I have an HP Base Set Unlimited Charizard and I've seen that shit go up in price almost 40% in the past month from the time I bought it. Been watching the prices and even a damaged one that got thrown in the washer sells for like $150+ from their lows of like $100.

Again the main reason why Base Set cost like $20,000+ is because there's not a lot of them. Every fucking scalper is hoarding multiples to even hundreds of those modern sets. This is going to be like Baseball cards of the 80's where you will find sealed boxes close to MSRP almost 40 years into the future just because of how much they fucking printed.
