Back then everybody thought that the 2008 crash was no big deal and it would just go away in a couple years. You have to understand that in those days, only the biggest autists and nerds had the foresight to see what was coming down the line. Everyone else was just enjoying getting fucked up in high school/college. I literally only ever met 1 guy in my life who was an OG whale from back then that bought when they were like 10 bucks each. And the dude was a total fucking social misfit with a good job. Ended up dead from popping too many pills and his coins are lost forever.

Told my parents to buy when I was in elementary school and in middle school. They refused. Couldn't afford to buy in reasonable quantities when I started making money because I had to save for renting because parents told me they were kicking me out at 18 no excuses. They constantly complain when I have to beg for help to pay rent at my shithole apartment because my car exploded or whatever and caused my expenses to hit over 100% of my monthly earnings. I hate every day of my life.

>If only I had bought bitcoin in 2010, I totally would have held every single coin until now and been a billionaire

No, you would have sold in 2011 or at the first new ATH in 2013. The only people who made a fortune on bitcoin either forgot they had it or already had a shitload of money.

I'm not one of the trillionaires but I am a very young millionaire from it.

I'm gonna disagree with your last sentence though, most crypto-bros (who actually make money) are just really smart, patient etc and successful outside of bitcoin with the people who forget or literally just lucked into it with left over drug money being a rarity.

If you were lucky enough to hear about it years ago you first had to accurately assess whether any of the BS people were saying would come true, then you had to have a fairly serious amount of money to invest, then you had to have the bollocks and conviction to buy some, then you had to see the bigger picture through the previous bull runs instead of cashing out, then you had to hold your nerve through the crashes and everyone saying it was a scam etc.

Like I've done better than anyone I know irl from it and was an extreme academic outlier, 1% wealth for age range before bitcoin and very patient/ambitious. One of my friends who also did well is similar, bought in HS and graduated valedictorian/has an excellent job now.

That wasn't a mistake though and was very easy to do. The mistake was watching it go from $10 to $1,000 and still not doing anything.

I was 16 when my brain kind of started developing its frontal lobe properly and it wasn't until I hit 19 (in late 2019) that I started realizing I should be worrying about my financial future. My parents are both poor fuck ups and I'm still living in a somewhat third world-ish country. Currently I have the money required to make an alright move on bitcoin (alright for the economic standards of this shithole I call home) but I need it to go down really, really hard. Black swan type of shit. Until then I'm holding on to my npc and ltc. And my waggie cage, of course.
Seriously fuck my childhood though. Nobody taught me shit about money, again parents are fucking losers in my eyes, I didn't even know what investing meant until way too late in life. Economic knowledge should be instilled in children ages 6 and up.
