If you purchased Bitcoin in 2021, you would be up 60-200% on your investment, while also seeing it crash by 50-80% from where you bought it and having to hold for a few years to see it recover.

If you bought alts in 2021 you would have gotten rekt and would still be rekt.

If you bought Berkshire Hathaway in 2021, you would be up 100% on your investment and it would have never crashed. You would have continued making gains comparable to or better than Bitcoin without suffering the losses.

There is absolutely no guarantee it would do that each time, and you are deluding yourself if you think the next time it'll happen that BTC is guaranteed to go back up. This has very little to do with altcoins and more to do with the fact BTC has no fundamentals and thus no floor, IT CAN GO TO ZERO AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT BACKS UP DEMAND TO PREVENT IT.

By sheer entropy alone, without anything (such as sovereign use a la gold) to back up Bitcoin, it will eventually fall to zero. You can't make something from nothing. This can change in the future, but as it is now BTC is one of the most risky assets to hold long term in the world.
