Lol, it's so over in America.
> Unemployment is still low at 4.2%, wage growth is steady, and the U.S. added a relatively healthy 139,000 roles in May according to the recent jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. But a growing number of Americans are “functionally unemployed” according to a new report.
> That’s a term that describes people who are not included in topline unemployment numbers, but are still struggling in the labor market. That includes people who are jobless but have stopped searching for work, as well as people who are employed but earning an annual salary of less than $25,000 a year.
> Around 24.3% of Americans currently fall under that category, according to a report from The Ludwig Institute for Shared Economic Prosperity (LISEP), a nonprofit focused on economic and policy research. That’s up from around 22.3% two years ago.
>>60528272 (OP)> experts sayNow subtract roasties living on black money from Onlyfans, or freeloading in marriage and doing a virtue signaling part time job.
Wouldn't 25% of the job market be college age/semi retired elderly people or are they excluded from this data?
Either way yeah the numbers have been cooked since COVID and are about as real as Chinas. That said I don't really know anyone struggling to find a job yet I feel it would be a really bad time to be unemployed.
>>60528317yes sir i am called as based. i have the red pills. DEI roasties are not doing the needful.
there are a lotta clowns who can't show up every day to work
or are stubborn pieces of shit you can't work with

Join the military. They're always "hiring".
>>60528272 (OP)>under 25k/yr>functionally unemployedThey REALLY want you in that next tax bracket lol
>Inequality gap intensifies
notthing new here
>>60528272 (OP)it's ok i guess the economy can survive on like the top 20% doing all the spending
as dumb as it is
>>60528272 (OP)Are there statistics on people with "real" degrees who are underemployed / what would I search to find them? Basically I want to know if I'm a failure for getting a 4.0 in an engineering degree and working a job that requires 0 education or skills or if I can blame society / the H1B's for my situation.
>>60528733Literally every white collar field right now is ruthlessly competitive. And it's a sick joke, because in order to get a white collar job, you need a white collar job, and the longer you don't have a white collar job, the harder it is to get one. Then when you get one, you end up like me. Where you have to work a job you hate and can't quit because then you're going to struggle twice as long to get the next one
>>60529012why not get another job while you still have your current one?
>>60529012Literally every white collar job is going to be replaced by Indians and AI, especially tech. Just stop bothering, grow a pair and do blue collar work like your fellow male non-brown/black monkey kin.
>>60529016I'm working on it.I've gotten rejected by four jobs this year. I work in a very competitive niche (biotech sales)
>>60528272 (OP)>Unemployment is still low at 4.2%, wage growth is steady, and the U.S. added a relatively healthy 139,000 roles in MayThe kike media lies so fucking much it's unreal
>unemployment still low at 4.2%These numbers were fake under Biden and they are fake now. They discount people that have flat out stopped looking for work among other things
>wage growth is steadyHoly fuck, what?
>added this number of jobsH1-Bs, illegals, and people jumping from DoorDash to Uber Eats and back
I wish I understood how hedge against this. Banks required to hold 0% in reserves, unemployment proped up by gig jobs like uber, everyone taking out predatory loans with things like klarna to finance uber eats, government billions in debt. idk
>>60529047This. And blue collar doesn't mean unskilled. Companies are desperate for skilled maintenance technicians, and once you're on somewhere you can spend as much time doing nothing as the average white collar worker, minus the humiliating office culture. This week all I did was measure some stuff on the factory floor where we're putting a new robot next week, and that was about it.
>>60529060>salesYeah that's not a real job. Thought you were an engineer. Nevermind, you're ngmi.
>>60529299>I wish I understood how hedge against this.If you're on this board you must already be hedging against this otherwise you're absolutely retarded. Ngmi.
>>60529334No I'm just trying to get ideas. I know how to be safe but not capitalize. I didn't even experience 08 but it feels like this a different thing a nation falling rather than just a couple of banks. idk
>>60528317WTF are you talking about tranny.
This is Trump's America now.
DEI is dead.
Woke is reversed.
Women back to kitchens.
Trannies out of girls restrooms.
>>60529370What do you mean you didn't experience it?
2008 was 17 years ago. You have to be 18 to post here.
>>60529047>Indianslol no, only if the company is doing unimportant things or is grossly unprofitable
>AIonly affects junior positions where you don’t need to think about integrations and a large codebase
>git Gud
>>60528272 (OP)>"functionally unemployed” according to a new report.Journalists finally realizing how unemployment numbers are calculated qualifies as a new report, huh? Now it matters, is that so?
