Not a thread to shill, but seriously—Beam is the only private-by-default L1 with:

Real functional smart contracts
On-chain asset issuance
A working private stablecoin
And yes, DeFi that actually hides your wallet from the IRS (you're welcome)

No Discord cult, no VC pump, no "soon™" promises. Just working code, ridiculously undervalued. Price is hanging in the basement while Solana forks with anime logos rug you blind.
Current "make-it" bag? 2,628 BEAM. That's it. Not financial advice, just wondering why everyone’s ignoring the only L1 not built on hopium and memes.
At these levels, it's practically riskless. But yeah, go ahead and chase the next memecoin fair launch with 99% tax and a roadmap written in Wingdings.

Tbh, I remember Beam. It was pretty neat, MW chain that had smart contracts. Just checked market cap, FDV of 8 million. It's either insanely undervalued or dead. Crazy to think it was a dollar a few years back and the market pivoted to Solana rugpulls. I heard devs abandoned it though. Is that true?

Nah, The devs are still around and building a L2 on top of beam. The L2 is superfast and gives same privacy guarantees as the base chain. The wallet also is well maintained and receives regular updates. It's been around for 7 years and probably will be around for the next 70 years.

Then we end central banking and that's a win, right anon? In any case, beam checks all the marks of a quality coin overlooked by shitcoins. It's a relic from the cypherpunk days. Blockchains never really die, they just go dormant. Beam has been hibernating for a long time.

I'm going to wait to see what this L2 does. If it generates interest and pumps, then I might buy start DCAing again.

Checkout the last 2/3 newsletters, there was some initial info and development updates were given.

In short, it's a dPoS PBFT chain with a goal block time of 450ms - 1s. There are currently two test networks running at 15s and 3s.

Staking will happen with BEAMX, the BeamX DAO's governance token. That's why the BEAMX price has 7x'd YTD.

Some DEX liquidity will probably move from L1 to L2, and some transactions will move there too.

This would technically mean less revenue for the miners, but an overall increase in usage and tx fees from the L1 <> L2 bridge could offset that.
And the miners could also just run a validator too. BEAM will remain the gas token. The resource requirements for running a validator will be very slim, the important thing will be network bandwidth/latency.

There is also a proposal to incentivize validators with BEAMX rewards for the first one to two years, just like with the Liquidity Accumulator at DEX launch.

"Privacy coins like BEAM (e.g., Monero, Zcash) often face delisting from centralized exchanges due to AML/KYC compliance issues."

Is this true? I'm a noob and read it on ChatGPT.

>All Beam transactions are private by default, which means no one can see the Sender or Receiver of the transaction or the transaction's value (except, of course, for the participants of the transaction itself). No addresses or other identity-related information is ever recorded on the blockchain, which means the user's transaction history always remains private
Nice. Like Monero.

>Beam has built an Atomic Swap functionality that allows peer-to-peer trading of Beam for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, DOGE (and more) in a completely decentralized way without an exchange or any other 3rd party intermediary
Now THAT is very interesting. You could swap BTC for Beam, move it to another wallet, then swap Beam back to BTC. Untraceable. Chainalytics: impossible.
Sure you can do this with Monero also but Beam is available at Binance and Uniswap (no KYC)

Interesting token OP thanks!

You have the wrong beam. The beam your posting in a VC gaming coin, not the MW privacy coin. You want beam.mw, found on trade ogre or trocador. It's delisted like Monero, so you aren't going to get it on Binance.
