I wouldn't be surprised either way, he's known for favoring more decentralized, community-driven approaches (Kleros being a meme cooperative), over corporate blockchain solutions.

Looking at this in real time, I think Chainlink is winning for the same reason Microsoft dominates: enterprise support infrastructure and global reach.
You see people constantly asking when governments will switch to Linux or when corporations will make the jump. Anyone who's spent time in an IT department watching multiple critical tickets pile up understands why it's not happening. It won't change until we get another company that can successfully challenge the incumbent the way Red Hat does in its niche, and even with that, great execution is needed as Novell's failure proved.

I'm a bit more confident in Kleros now though, since they've secured some corporate partnerships that shoud whip them in shape
