Nobody is going to pay you to do what YOU like. They pay you to do what they don't like to do or are unable to do. So unless you want to do the work that is so shitty people will pay you just so they don't have to do it, you had better develop some skills or acquire some useful capital goods (tools, intellectual property, etc.).

Never speak honestly, everything must be part of a larger plan. Never show your full potential, everyone will see you as a threat and try to sabotage you. You will get stabbed in back, many times, by people closest to you, its just the way it is. Get rid of anyone who realize that has tried to screw you. Its a business not a social club. View it as competition for the money and top spot, because it is.

Take a shit in the break room biscuit tin to assert dominance if caught or sow discord among the office if not. Then buy a new tin of biscuits so they see you as a problem solver, but lace the biscuits with fluoride so they become subservient puppets. Trip your boss as he walks past your cubicle to let him know his days as top dog are numbered. If he asks why you did that, blame the carpet and undermine his authority in front of the sheeple.

I never got a job. I grifted off of SEO while that lasted and got to buy crypto low in previous bear markets. Got enough to sell and life confy in my third world country. Nobody gave me any good advice ever. I think the best advice is to realize that being rich is by definition being an outlier so you need to be doing something weird compared to the median person if you wish to be rich.

The brightest star burns out the quickest. I was lucky enough to have a solid mentor in my career and after a promotion he said that to me. I was mid 20s at that point he was early 40s and already had 2 heart attacks at work. Guy was making 500k a year but was forever stuck to this one job cause his skill was specialized and not many jobs existed for it. I went on and got two more promotions and was about to reach that point and was like nah fuck all that, guy is absolutely miserable and my health has already started declining. Left the company after that and expanded my skill set elsewhere for more money.

Number 1 is absolute truth.
Be a value maker not a value taker.
You reap what you sow, tenfold.
Do what you love and gets you out of bed (most days, not all)
No one ever said on their death bed "I wish I spent more time at the office"
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and invest your earthly money and time in eternal riches where it cannot be stolen.

Trust your gut

Acting on intuition (and training it like a subconscious muscle) is absolutely key for your soul, because following it means you stuck to your beliefs and you will be very much okay with being wrong or failing with it, but you will hate yourself for not acting upon a previous intuition which later on gets validated as true

ive basically ignored all career advice that ive ever received. if youre still working for a living, especially if youre 50+ years old, your advice is automatically worthless. the most worthless advice ive ever received is 'dont complain, its bad for your career' from some vietnamese bitch with cute feet. we both left the company but i was promoted to manager before her and im 100% remote while she's wageslaving hybrid.

Pay yourself first. Somebody said this to me at my graduation party and I took it to heart. I made way more than enough money to live comfortably but I put almost 90% of my disposable income into investments rather than helping out family or buying tons of frivolous shit. It worked out extremely well over the 10 years that I worked.

Aim to have both a stable, robust linear income source (i.e, high paying, in demand career) but also exposure to income sources with potential for exponential returns (scalable businesses, investments with high return potential, etc). If the exponential side fails, you'll still have the high paying baseline. And it'll help you build the capital you'll likely need quicker anyway.

Nobody goes into business for themselves to earn LESS than an employee. Go ahead and charge whatever the market will bear.

80% of your income comes from 20% of your clients. Go ahead and dump the 80% of your clients that don't pay shit.

Don't sell to the public, their standards are way too high and they'll sue you constantly or just not pay. If you have to do business, do business with businesses.

Manufacturing and retail don't pay in the US. Too much competition

You don't need a new idea to get rich. The 100th gas station will probably do better than the first 99

Most people don't have the balls to take the risks necessary to get rich. It's fine.

You can never make more than one man can earn in one day
unless you're willing to take money from others.
If you want more money than one person can earn, you need to employ other people and take part of their pay.

Earn buy borrow die

the goal of business is NOT profits, it is growth

profits are taxed big and immediately
growth is barely taxed and usually much later

instead of taking profits, grow your business and borrow against it.

business is no longer about making money, it hasn't been for decades. It's about growing the business and borrowing against it. It's about avoiding taxes.
