So first off you dont want to let it sit. You'll bleed to inflation. Give yourself 6-12 months to come up with a plan, for now put it in a HYSA.

If you have no clue what to do just dump it all in the spy. Yes, it will probably go down immediately. After a year once it's up 10 or more percent maybe you will have learned a little bit about risk management and market trends and then you can take some and start a more broad portfolio that fits your individual goals.
