>>60540537>wtf do u need more? mid 7 figure is insaneWhile having $1M is way nicer than not having it, there's some truth to that "$1M is literally nothing" meme.
If you're used to living in a nicer area of a developed country, you still have a lot of work ahead of you. Take somewhere like denver Colorado. Not the highest cost area of USA at all, but it's also not small town Iowa. A decent house is going to run $500k minimum and more realistically youre going to want something $700-$1M, so your entire stack is gone or at least half gone by the house.
In Irvine, California or any nice west coast place, you might actually still NEED a mortgage. A house near my uncle in Irvine is 1.1-1.2M
The reality to the meme is that any boomer (any!) That bought a solid home in any desirable USA city and worked any job until retirement easily mogs your wealth, despite all the risk.
I had to attend a top university, work in a moneymaxxed field, job hop 3x to get to my 300k/yr comp (was much less for years) and go all in ethereum outside of my 401k/ira stuff in 2019 ...just to match a boomer plumber in San Jose. Not even actually
