I have $70k, if im willing to work for 5-10 more years what would be a relatively safe investment for me to retire with around 60k a year in passive income? I can't do crypto no more bros shit fucked me, I wouldn't be where im at today without it but after 2 cycles I'm calling it quits.
>70k after 2 cycles
crypto again but this time actually learn from your fuck ups
Passive income? Dividends. Just buy $MAIN continuously, 6-10% dividend 8% avg, 14 straight years of raising dividend, never lowered. Capital appreciation too, beats market by 3% cagr since inception. Giga dips when theres a GFC or Covid but always rapidly recovers.
Im not going to pretend it's as safe as treasuries or schd or coca cola for monthly cash flow, the blow-up risk is real. The returns justify the higher risk. You're not making it just by buying VOO at your age, you need to take on a little more risk than that to really have a chance at this point.
Good idea to drop crapto btw.
Alternatively, just stack SSO then convert it into a dividend stock of your choice when the time comes.
>>60540612Well 70k after buying a house, upgrading it (new AC, new roof, etc), paying off student loans,my car and a few other things. If I have to stay in the game I guess I will but was hoping for something non-ceypto related

>I need to 20x my money in 5-10 years (1.5m at 4% equals 60k/year)
>I want a relatively safe investment
You can only pick 1
>>60540622Thx fren, I got about 120k in my retirement on drip with schd. I was thinking of just throwing what I got into schd as well as paychecks like 1k a month but alas I don't think that would he enough for my timelines as well.
>>60540585 (OP)Damn that means u remember the 90s and early 2000s how was it?
>>60540585 (OP)if you want $60k in passive income you'll need approximately $1.75 million invested in the stock market
these are the ETFs I would recommend as safe and good investments:
>VIG>VUG>SCHD>SCHG>NOBL>BELTkeep your expenses low while aggressively investing in the above ETFs, and (assuming you have a decent job) you should be able to hit $1.75 million within ten years.
>>60540641Fucking glorious anon, I hate what the world and myself has become.
>>60540641Let me correct this, everything up until 2001 was glorious. Ever since 9/11 we entered clown world and nothings ever been the same since.
>>60540644Thx fren I haven't heard of some of these ill look into it
>>60540585 (OP)You're a gross old man with no kids or a wife
>>60540585 (OP)All in something safe like PEPE. You can expect to be a short millionaire by end of cycle.
>>60540585 (OP)How did you get to age 41 and only saved 70k? 70k is fucking nothing
>>60540585 (OP)41? i'm assuming you have no wife, kids, support system because you are asking on here. bro just gamble or some shit, not much to lose
>>60540585 (OP)Bro you can't retire in 10 years on $60k passive lmao
Following a conservative 30x rule you would need ~$1.8mil
>>60540671Yeah everyone starts in the same circumstances right
>>60540644>keep your expenses low while aggressively investing in the above ETFs, and (assuming you have a decent job) you should be able to hit $1.75 million within ten years. Are you fucking insane haha, OP would need to be earning like $300k/yr
>>60540622i would bang that chubby hoe so hard
>>60540981i bet you say that about all the girls who are the kind of tired sleep cant fix
>>60540585 (OP)I will say give it a last try, buy some UTK with around 10K, maybe you will make it
