monday morning open laptop boss swoops in asks if the report is done
i tell him no still loading he says thats no excuse
leaves a coffee ring on my laptop and promises to check back in ten
i try to regroup but boss returns at six minutes says i look distracted and wanders off again

coworker walks by i ask about her weekend she nods keeps moving
third time i try to chat she sees me coming and clearly fakes a phone call
across the aisle i hear another coworker sigh at me
at lunch i catch her in the break room show her a meme she laughs once
chatter starts near me about boundaries about reading signals
entire office cockblocks me and makes me look like a creep
boss interrupts again says teamwork matters
meanwhile amazon driver still delivers to me every time at 10 pm at the far end of the route (making prime two-day shipping essentially three)
ever since i called her out she drops my packages and i caught her on my doorbell
latest box had books inside warped just enough to annoy me
stomach knots every time i track a delivery
end of the day boss asks for an update i have none worth sharing i say it’s taking longer to load than i thought he says that’s not a valid reason but moves on
coworker packs up headphones on eyes forward
i watch her walk out realize the whole floor watches me watching her
i close the lid carry my warped books to the empty elevator
