Circa 2011, jumped into CS because I fell for the game designer meme. Once I graduated college 2015, I opted for a regular dev position instead because it was the only offer I got in the sea of H1B's competing against me. Fast forward to today, unemployed and the whole tech industry is getting slapped around by AI.

I switched from SWE to a customer facing consulting role as SA, so I can't be replaced by AI.

Sadly most CS majors are autistic incels that you can't put in front of clients so they will never make it.
