Nothing, the average normie is poor. There aren't that many people out there who didn't have enough money to invest 5 years ago, but now they have money.

It's more so if you had enough money to invest 5+ years ago, you are probably still investing regularly. But if you were poor then, you're probably poor now and living paycheck to paycheck.

I can't remember the last time I heard a non-rich friend talk about their crypto or even stocks. Personally I think best case scenario is that right now is a buying opportunity, and normies might start reinvesting in a few years time. Trump scares the normtard too much, and because of Trump they are convinced that the markets will dump. That's why the last major crypto pump was during Biden's term (in early 2021 and late 2024).

I'm not saying the normies are right for this, but I do think this is how they think, and thus I don't think they'll significantly buy back in until Trump is gone OR unless there is some zeitgeist change and most normies start liking Trump

Normies aren’t buying crypto because they are still holding onto the same bags from years ago hoping to make it from those. There’s no one else out there to buy our bags. It’s basically a stalemate which is why everyone is so quick to sell off even the smallest of pumps. On top of that, we have to deal with bots and even more market manipulation than ever before. Crypto is fucking dead. The chances of the average person making it from crypto are long gone

Memecoins for gambling and unironically getting into tradfi exclusively for Microsoft, Amazon, Google and other AI-first companies because AI is the new golden goose meta. I'm guessing a lot of zoomies are also leveraging said AI slop tech to synthetize garbage for Roblox, CS2 and other games that allow for indie content to be distributed and sold. I'm glad their money isn't going to alts anymore though, we all benefit a little more if we aren't investing into VC/CEO traps like before (Ket, Pepe and Giga have been my best non-BTC crapto buys this year and it's not even close).
