So the developers of the xrpl.js npm package are so asleep at the switch, that one bad actor was able to put malicious code into the system without being called on it, and they didn't notice the change for multiple releases. To compare, MAME frequently has commits posted that get reverted before the monthly release, because they didn't pass muster in the code review or didn't follow code guidelines or w/e. Ripple wants to be taken seriously as a cryptocurrency, MAME is just an emulator. That's how fucking incompetent this is.
