Why aren’t you firefighting in Seattle 100k starting salary with no degree and no experience needed and paid training?

This shit is so stupid. Actually boggles my mind that it's current year and there's all these studies about how lack of sleep impairs decision making, and yet emergency services still has 24 hour shifts as the standard rather than putting everyone on standardized 8 hour shifts.

8 hours is gay, for me it's 4 12hr shifts or 13hr ones if they're available. 4 on 4 off is a good mix, double time weekends.

I'm starting to think that employers are getting a bit of a guilty conscience for securing exceptional benefits and wages in dese haaad economic times for their employees because they know everyone else is being left behind on their own. Maybe just a little. Maybe.
