kek that's like $35-40k after. truly insane how much the government gouges the poor. the tax rate should be like 10% for anyone making below 100k, 15% of 100-200k, 20% for anything beyond. but we live in a corrupt world with a bunch of faggots

I barely clear 5k a month after taxes, social security, medical insurance, HSA contributions, 401k contributions, ESPP purchases, social security contribution, home insurance, mortgage payment, HOA dues, car insurance, cell phone bill, electricity, Internet, and GrubHub+.
How are you supposed to make it when the bare necessities to live eat so much into your paycheck?

apparantly, you are supposed to marry a woman with a career which will basically double your income.

>make $26/hr at primary job
>make $23/hr at flex part time job
>base weekly net is about 1.1k
>with overtime, it can get to around 1.3-1.5k
>check paycheck calculator to see how much I’m grossing if my weekly net were consistently 1.5k
>its 100k gross annually

I used to think people that bitched about how 100k salary is a fucking joke but now I get it. Granted, I only live on $1200 a month so I sock away thousands every month but I only feel like I’m “keeping up” and not really getting ahead.

This shit is a joke

They vote for it. They stand for it. They defend it. They want it. Meanwhile the rich own nothing on a personal basis and park their assets in foundations, companies, charities and trusts instead.

keep it up for about 20-30 more years and you will be comfy.

Those who are not doing what you are doing will be living off of social security checks for retirement, and let me tell u that shit might not even be enough to cover rent.

Keep wage slaving and saving, i know it sounds terrible, but life is long, and if you find meaning and satisfaction in what you do to earn a living, then that itself is a blessing. Many people exit their early retirements to continue working until they are like in their 70s for a reason.

Your jobs do sound kinda lame so i would try to get out of that and find something that pays well and is more meaningful to you.
