>Deposits Assumed by Coleman County State Bank Marking the End of a 90-Year Chapter in Santa Anna’s Story
>Santa Anna National Bank, a staple of the Santa Anna community since 1933, was closed Friday by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, making it the first Texas bank failure of 2025.
>The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) was appointed as receiver and announced that all insured deposits have been assumed by Coleman County State Bank, based in Coleman, Texas. The transition will allow customers uninterrupted access to their funds and banking services.
>Santa Anna National Bank operated a single branch location in Santa Anna, which will reopen as a Coleman County State Bank office during normal business hours beginning Monday, June 30.
> The offices of the FDIC also wants to emphasize the following:
>“Theinsureddeposits assumed by Coleman County State Bank will continue to be insured by the FDIC so there is no need for customers to change their banking relationship to retain their deposit insurance coverage.”
>“All Coleman County State Bank customers (formerly, The Santa Anna National Bank) will have access to theirinsureddeposits and can write checks or use their ATM or debit cards up to their insured limits. Checks drawn on the bank will continue to be processed. Loan customers should continue to make their payments as usual.”

Why do I need insurance to deposit money in a vault? The vault taxes themselves aren't enough?

Might be the illegal immigrants packing up and leaving. Then it causes the bank to default. Illegal immigrants sign up with fake information.
