My parents are in their late 60s and still think cash is king and that investing is a scam.

Now I have to hear them constantly complain about being poor because the age pensions they get from the government aren't enough

I'm 45, and I have seen one guy (1) escape the poverty culture. Be aware of the task at hand. The culture of organized legal fraud (also known as investing, or "good business") is not learned that easily. It normally takes generations to go from poor to human, and many, if not most rich kids fall back because of inbred degeneracy.

There are so many little differences in how we poor judge events and act, it's really hard to catch them all, and alter them.

my parents are in their 60s with their house paid off on a juicy pansion. I convinced them to invest their money into index funds well better they realized on their own that its better than just having it rot in their bank account. gg?

My parents fell for the active management meme until I started stunting on their return with a passive index. Probably their most embarrassing moment
