At what point does it make sense to quit your job? I've been making a bit more than my monthly income by swing trading every few days for the past year

Not until you have enough of a principal base to live off for a while if you end up losing biglt, prefer sly you'd be investing in passive income streams. Swinging shit coins is still work, it's just not a 9-5.

When you could do something more productive with your time. Do you want to just enjoy your life? Well then I guess it makes sense at any time.

Didn't say I'd quit right now, but assuming I hit an average of 2x my income or 3x then idk if it makes sense to work 40 hours a week, especially considering the tax bracket and being limited to where i can work at. I just don't know anyone that's done this irl. All my friends are wagies.

yeah, wouldn't stop completely working, just not the w2 job. 90% of my money is still in long term holds (btc/vti)

yeah, kind of just want to enjoy my time by the beach or traveling. I usually just check the charts every 4 hours or if I get an alert on my phone that an RSI or price area hit. The more I make, the less i even need to trade. I only want to make just enough to cover my bills and then the rest goes to my long term portfolio.

If you are still under 30 and have no serious illness, I would suggest working as long as possible, it'll probably be a max of three to eight years before AI gets you through inflow of new wagies or full superhuman automation.
Can you use your waging activities to make business connections for when the AI horror fully unfolds? You'd want to join fellow investors. If you can't do this through your job, it might be time to quit earlier.
You wrote "past year", have you traded in a bear market yet, like 2022? If you'd have to rely on your trading income for 24 months straight, it might become dire.
Also, any tips for doing this?
