>You will pay 170 bucks per month for streaming.

YOU WILL NOT buy 6, 12tb hard drives. I repeat, YOU WILL NOT install plex and usenet to download 8 thousand movies and 600 TV series. Especially automate it with radarr overseerr.

Think about these poor companies that need to create fresh new shows like ironheart and remake snow white for the 10th time.

You dont want them to go hungry right?

Isn't the cost is that setup more than the cost of a streaming service?

Maybe. Depending on the hard drives youll only need to buy once per decade. A 12tb one is like 80 bucks

Probably, but this way you own the media instead of just renting it.

Why would I download 600 TV shows when I could just download the two I actually want to watch and then never watch them

Based. I don't even care to watch any slop anymore. Movies, series, shows they fail to enthuse. For entertainment I will much rather watch some dude working his allotment every once in a while.

Kek, shining bulging cabbages, stonking big potatoes, wet dripping grapes, thick hard packed soil, covered and smothered by beans and of course plenty of sweet creamy plums.

I dont either. But my mother and a few family members have access and they like it. Theyre asking why they pay for netflix and other services now.

I mainly started because its emberassing to bring a woman home and theres nothing to watch while i fuck her, but im not gonna pay 170 bucks per month just to watch some obscure series. Hopping in between service providers.

I also host my own cloud storage using nextcloud and image sharing with immich.

Take the home server pill.

Its also not just movies and shows, im also able to pirate books, audio, and video games from a sleek user interface. Not going through different websites to find what i want. As long as you pay for indexing services to provide you with the file itself. it will download automatically and sort itself out without any hassle.

The link right there is for anyone to see more about it and get an idea for what it really does. I highly recommend going through the effort and watching a few youtube videos on how to upgrade your borrowing game.

You are discounting the knowledge requirement, the effort requirement, and probably most importantly the agency requirement. Having to download your own stuff means you need to seek out and DECIDE what to download. Goy cattle need thousands of options available immediately so an algorithm can tell them what to watch.
