Reddit freaking the fuck out right now kek
>>60569652>Don't get me wrong, I believe in climate changeGet a load of this goy boss.

Moving money around is always so scary.
If you do it piece by piece you look like a criminal.
If you do it all at once you get blocked and have to prove you're not a criminal.
>>60569676We have temperature records and ice core samples, it's one of the most easily proven theories.
Don't get me wrong, I believe poor people can be just as smart and just as talented as white people, but 13% still equals 50% boss.
>>60569658>nuclear >lovely <5% ROE over 40 yearsI'd rather invest in oil
>>60569660 (OP)That's a (wo)man

Trump will crash the market after he gets his bill through, then he can focus on other countries since no pork is needed domestically. There isn't even a China trade deal in place yet, Canada folded but that's Canada. What can they do? Stocks have room to go down from all time highs
>>60569688Yes yes of course but have you considered that we already had our designated crash and that none of that gay shit matters?
>>60569679>Moving money around is always so scary. So long as moving that money, at those quantities, isn't anomalous, it doesn't attract red flags.
It's why someone who owns a business can dump $50k on a purchase and not get called, but a poorfag wagie will get his card declined at a gas station because it was 200 miles outside of his home radius without a travel authorization.
>>60569681>We have temperature records and ice core samplesThis type of person doesn't care about the truth. It's a culture war and the side they don't like believes in climate change so they don't.
>>60569692And he can do it twice since he knows it will recover just as well
>>60569681So what caused the end of the ice age, and the start of the stone age boss which then was followed by a mini ice age, and another warming period boss? How much data do we have on solar activity through the epochs? Your settled science is like taking a few data points that fit your narrative, but ignoring the whole fucking picture boss.
Have you ever made more from the stock market than your regular job in a single year?
How old were you when it happened?
>>60569681What kind of factors does the precession of the equinoxes contribute to these climate change theories, and ice core data readings boss?
>>60569708in my early-mid 30s the market gains started beating my regular income
>>60569681>>60569707>>60569719If this is such an easily proven theory, why the fuck can't you answer any of my questions boss?
>>60569708Hm, no, but I am only 27. I earn around 500-550k USD so its diffcult to reach that so young. Won't be long though I imagine.
>>60569708No, not even last year where I was unemployed for 11 months. I got hired in December and got a big sign-on bonus, otherwise I would have though.
>>60569722That's crazy, when I was 27 I was earning 500โฌ a month minimum wage.

still cant believe i missed that 100% train
>>60569704Al gore fooled me once, I can't get fooled again! This has nothing to do with culture and everything to do with trust
>>60569721>>60569681What are the long term impacts on the localized climates of solar farms, and what are the long term impacts of the use of geothermal on the Earth's magnetosphere? How are the offshore windfarms negatively impacting ocean biodiversity? This is all settled science I thought boss?

>>60569739Yes I'm actually in UK so its even more rare I suspect especially coming from working class background, im just translating to USD. Started own business when was 15 (from ยฃ0) online. thank u for reading my blog
>>60569753I accept your concession.
Do you ever think that old school strategies of allocating 20-30-40% of your portfolio into bonds have been permanently broken by pic related?
This stuff is beyond my knowledge level so I could be wrong.
>>60569660 (OP)That's a woman.
>>60569722Thatโs crazy. What is your profession?
>>60569785It is broken, but because the long term rates are trending up
You have to basically be willing to hold to maturity on anything dated 10y+ because chances are we see even higher rates in the future
I'm not touching them unless they go over 7%
>>60569803If long term rates go over 7% we're going to have so much fucking coke up our nostrils our hearts are going to explode boss.
What's the big deal if the dollar is weak? Just buy more of it. It's at a discount.
>>60569803If rates get too high (above 6% would do it I think) the Fed blinks, before too long they're buying treasuries again and yields trend to zero.
It's just broken.
>>60569794It's relating to hosting gaming servers, like a community. I can't say anymore than that, there is only a handful of us in UK. People in this thread have probably played on my servers/network before since we see 10 millions a year visits.

>>60569978>All the climate change that's happened naturally happens over a period of centuries to millennia. This is actually a fallacy. We don't know that that's true. Look up how Nyquist Frequencies works -- basically, if you want to be able to detect a frequency, you must sample at at least twice that frequency to detect it and if you don't take enough samples then the best fit will always look smooth. We would need millions of times more ice core temperature samples than we currently do to be able to accurately detect decade scale frequencies.
This doesn't mean that the inverse is true. We can't prove that statement either. It just means that what you said can be proven via math to be not determinable.

>>60570571>its been a $40 stock since the 2000's now crashed to under $1, are they going bust? Here's my retard assessment.
From a cursory read, Wolfspeed got btfo in the EV and renewables energy bust. They went all-in because of the Biden administration's extremely friendly attitude towards renewables. Combine that with expansion efforts and they just ran out of cashflow when they needed that energy boom to sustain itself for about ten years instead of two. They were genuinely planning to expand their fab capability to meet this demand.
They will probably lose the CHIPS Act subsidy so it'll worsen their financial situation. They filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to restructure their debt. On top of this, China is likely selling SiC chips at under cost to act as a loss leader and drive out US competition in the market.
The thing is that Wolfspeed has viable and solid products. Unlike most companies that specialize in non-silicon chips, they are not vaporware. They were on track to be dominant in its sectors (SiC and GaN). The timing was bad. The products are necessary for the coming demand for high voltage and high power throughput applications that are upcoming in the race for AI and in a decade, general use robotics.

It would be inadvisable to allow the company to go bust, or lose the IP to let's say, a shell company owned by a Chinese state entity. Orange man has stated that he wants to grow the semiconductors industry in the US but he has a track record of really fumbling the ball on high-value-added industries since that requires a long-term commitment that for the time being, he has a precedent of failing to commit to.
As for ownership, institutional investors are your usual suspects. The one of note is Renesas Electronics (JPN), who sees value in keeping the company alive. They have agreed to buy some of their debt in exchange for equity stake. Renesas is Wolfspeed's #1 customer, so they are securing their bottom line when the US market has decided to shit on their future high-end manufacturing for... whatever 47's admin is doing. Renesas is also a Japanese company, and the Japanese really do not like it when US IP gets bought up by a shell company owned by a Chinese state entity. The Chinese have this habit of turning raw materials into mutually assured destruction.
I don't think this company will die, but it won't recover quickly either. If you really believe in it, dump cash into it and forget about it for a long time.
What's the consensus on HOOD looking out a few weeks??? I can see a second pump but retail investor activity makes me nervous.

Seems 2020s hotness is semiconductors, since 2010s was FAGMAN. If China is srs /biz/nss about a Taiwan invasion by 2027, companies that are dependent on Taiwan will probably crash (NVDA, AMD, TSM, etc.) while other companies that are struggling today (INTC, TXN, MU) will probably rise in price since they have working non-Taiwan fabs.
Right now, SiC and GaN are in the stealth wealth phase. We don't have a strong need for extremely efficient, highly compact, high power applications just yet, and the tech is relatively nascent and expensive. They will be necessary for the mechanized electric pixie boxes to get lighter and more performant.
I'm only saying this because I habitually ignore investing in things I genuinely believe in, and watch them fly to the stratosphere years later. I'm on my way to fixing that mistake now that I actually have discretionary income for once.
>>60570669>its tempting to grab a bag for a long term holdIt's highly risky, but potentially highly rewarding. If they are successful with SiC and GaN, it will make NVIDIA look like a joke, because those chips will be in everything non-chinesium that handles over 110V.

>>60570721>but who knows if the AI boom will still be in effect at that pointThere are two major scenarios to that, which isn't entirely determined.
>winner take all - the market leader is who everyone goes to and they make everything because the ai brain is too expensive to make from scratch>highly competitive - turns out ai can be churned out and customized by literally anyone, and it's oftentimes made by scratch pretty easily with the right toolsDespite efforts to monopolize the technology, it's probably both options, with two or three major players that make the highly performant stuff while small time players can build off of base templates. Artificial intelligence and machine learning has proven versatile and adaptable. The fundamental principles are so accessible that the principles of machine learning on a hardware level was demonstrated in the early 2000s.
This boom hasn't quite started yet, we're still in proof-of-concept despite its widespread deployment. Microsoft (MSFT) will likely lead the charge, as they have a highly controlling stake in OpenAI. Contrary to all the hype around DeepSeek and the like, people turn consistently to ChatGPT anyways. DeepSeek only demonstrates potential for democratization of AI development. There's also that lingering doubt that DeepSeek is really just a modified variant of ChatGPT anyways. Other players like Grok, Claude, etc. will have their niche.

>>60569785>>60569803>>60569814I'm holding lots of TLT in spite of the govt's impending bankruptcy. I make 12% a year on covered calls and dividends while it crabs in the high 80s. It's still a very safe investment because the Fed hasn't even gone into panic mode. They understand the Treasury can't service its long-term debt at higher than 5% yields, which is why both entities have been buying tens of billions of government debt this year.
When that strategy begins to fail the first thing the Fed will do is lower interest rates. That mean there's one last big pop left in TLT before it dies. Sometime in the next decade it will double or triple in value, then I'm selling it for gold.
>>60570763synthesis of the two scenarios - AI can be churned out by anyone, and already existing models are good enough for any imaginable use, but most are too dumb to run them, and even less players can profit from running it, driving market leaders higher and higher
it's already the case that a computer that can run the full deepseek r1 model for your personal use, same model as they run on their servers and serve to their customers, costs around $20k - a third of the cost of 1 (one) GPU out of 8 that you need to serve this model to thousands of users

Selling HOOD csps strikes: July 3 88, July 11 86. Y/N? I've been wheeling the stock from when it was 50ish or sth, it has pumped a lot and it deserves to because it has killer fundamentals and making stocks shitcoins is groundbreaking and money printing.

>>60570795>because the vibes felt off.> is it over?Seems like it's over because you want it to be over
If you want this to continue, then focus on vibes alone. Not what you say, or how long to take to text back, these are all games
Women react to your vibes. That's it. so you can get this back, if you want to.
just make sure the vibes stay good, and then everything will work out. If the vibes feel off again, then figure out why, and put them back on track. It's all in your head, and the vibes come entirely from you. that means you can control it
