I currently make 7500 USD net a month. I work in a pretty big corporation. I have received an offer to become a director of my department (skipping like 2 positions). There are lots of major issues, with installations and things worth basically millions, with a salary of 19 000 USD net a month. But I think this position is kind of unstable.

Would you do it /biz/? I am kinda scared desu. I like my comfy office job guys.

The unstability is not your problem BTW if you manage it properly. Assess the risks, communicate the risks to your uppers, and build up scapegoats in your department. Even if they wanted you as the future scapegoat, they will be satisfied when you deliver some sacrificial wagie cattle instead. That way, you can signal that you belong to them. And don't let the "serious business" facade make you believe otherwise, corpos are full of mentally ill kidults in suits. If you push their buttons, unbelievable magic will happen. And even if you would get fired as a department head, you will now get a new job somewhere else as a department head, not as a small wagie.
