Can someone explain how it makes sense to raise margins by 0.1% by assembling a $45000 watch in China instead of Switzerland when you are surely aware sales will drop catastrophically when the news gets out. Rolex was so expensive, labor could not possibly be a hugely relevant cost metric.

>>60578264Because like most luxery brands it doesn't make a difference because most of the price you are paying for is in the name of the brand. People are idiots for finally putting two and two together. The point of luxery brands is so the elite have brands they can use to visually separate themselves from the poor and easily recognize each other. Heck even child trafickers talk about looking for guys with rolex watches to sell children too.
Can someone redpill me on pic related?

>The number of people not in the labor force who currently want a job was essentially unchanged at 6.0 million in June. These individuals were not counted as unemployed because they were not actively looking for work during the 4 weeks preceding the survey or were unavailable to take a job. (See table A-1.)
>Among those not in the labor force who wanted a job, the number of people marginally attached to the labor force increased by 234,000 in June to 1.8 million. These individuals wanted and were available for work and had looked for a job sometime in the prior 12 months but had not looked for work in the 4 weeks preceding the survey. The number of discouraged workers, a subset of the marginally attached who believed that no jobs were available for them, increased by 256,000 in June to 637,000. (See Summary table A.)

A family of two can earn up to $75,000 and have 0% income tax

>>60578468Yeah but LLMs still struggle with complex reasoning tasks, especially those requiring chaining logical steps or understanding nuances. Not only that but LLMs are dependent on having current and accurate data so there is funny enough the risk of AI killing AI with the amount of junk data it's creating these days.
>Estimates vary, but a significant portion of online content is now generated by AI. Some sources suggest that around 57% of all web content is AI-generated or translated using AI algorithms, according to a Forbes article. Other estimates range from 30% to 90%, with some predicting that AI could generate 90% of online content by 2026. It's just going to be a compounding effect of junk data in the future if the current trends keep continuing.

Honestly no true ai exists, we just have chatbots that think theyre learning and retards are conned into believing it
>>60578488The joke was that LLMs and AI are more adaptive than Indians are. Generally they can only follow exact directions and can't think outside the box. While AI can give flawed answers, it is capable of suggesting other plans and being iterative and can be improved over time.
Actually, that brings me to my next post about the future, where MSFT and other tech giants are going to be leveraging data centers, AI, and high energy use

It's been incredibly annoying to see how stupid normies are at not realizing that this isn't at all a form of consciousness or even thinking, it's just a pattern recognition tool that can spit back patterns.
>While AI can give flawed answers, it is capable of suggesting other plans and being iterative and can be improved over time.I mean that still will require a guiding hand. AI doesn't know what it's suggesting, it's just doing what it's been programmed to do.

Well, this is my current allocation for my main portfolio (about $35k).
>BATT, COPX, CPER, REMX
I think that AI is still going to spike for tech giants (internal audits, optimization, logistics), data centers will need a huge amount of copper. EVs and green tech needs it, silver, and REEs
>IEO, IEZ
"Oil bad" will still soak up investor cash. I think the US will be sanctioned by OPEC like in the 80s. Conditions are similar: high interest rates, weak economy, aiding Israel. The SPR is tapped out, too. IEO is largecap producers that will have inventory on hand, ready to make immediate profit, IEZ is stuff like Baker-Hughes who will sells equipment, which is important when wells are restarted. All US based.
>GLD, GOEX, SLV, SLVP
Copper and silver are in critically short supply compared to the 5-15 year demand outlook. Gold is also good to have as a hedge against inflation and interest rate concerns. I have exposure to the spot price, as well as midcap producers (they're small enough to pivot and are less diversified, making it more concentrated. They're also active producers, which means there won't be a delay in operations and permitting like explorers)
>URNM, U.UN.TO
I went with URNM because it has greater exposure to Kazatom and a few other key names in the space. Like copper and silver, there's a huge growing demand that nobody is talking about, and will be the best energy source for AI baseload. SMRs are also worth looking into.
>WMT, SGOV, TD bond
Core positions, I get WMT at a discount through work. SGOV lets me rotate into and out of bonds quickly and gets me some interest on my cash. Every month I rotate $300-500 into other positions.
>POND.VN, RGTI

>>60578906It means that if you took out a new loan on a car in 2025 (and for the next 3 years), you can deduct up to $10,000 per year from the interest you paid to service that loan. Seems pretty straightforward to me.
However, you ideally wouldn't pay much interest on a loan in the first place (since it's like what, 8%? 12%?) since it's money you're burning away, but at least you can offset a fair amount now from the looks of things.
While it won't be eligible for the loan you took out last year, see if someone at the dealership will let you refinance the loan - you might be able to create a new loan with similar terms such that it's "new" and able to be used for this grant. I don't know if that's allowed under loan provisions.
But from the dealership's POV, that makes you more likely to be solvent on the loan since it gives you more tax credits, thus capital

like apple, I had some really shit tier positions, one that i managed to liquidate with 300$ profit by some fucking miracle, yet the other I lost around 600$ because I sold too soon (who could have guessed that POS would go up this much today), it expired today as well, pic related, from 23/06
I havent been actively daytrading for long, I sold all my dividend slop in april right as the megadip started and slurped up random shit
I won then got arrogant and greedy, missed out on an easy 1500$ google call, instead only made 400$ because i waited too long (days)
Then gambled most of it on "easy" money SPY 0dtes
I try to be more disciplined but goddamn when i see missed shit like this boy i tell u whut makes me wanna snap some twigboys

>>60579529I'll try to summarize, but it's something you should really take a week and read over again and again until you get the intricacies.
>An option lets you buy or sell 100 shares of a stock>The value of option is based on relative price (strike vs underlying), time to expiry, and volatility>This is called the Black-Scholes formula. Using calculus, they derived 5 values (The Greeks): being Delta (value as stock price changes), Theta (value as time runs out), Vega (value as volatility changes), Rho (value as interest rates change (nobody cares about this)), Gamma (change in Delta as price changes)>Price can be considered "position", Delta can be considered "velocity", Gamma can be "acceleration">As time runs out, price becomes extremely sensitive to being ITM/ATM/OTM>You can go long or short on a put or call with different strikes and expiration dates to go long delta, theta, gamma, or vega, which means you're long or short time, price, or volatility>It doesn't matter how fancy you get, your position is equal to your net greeksTwo quick things: "Volatility" / IV is poorly defined. It's basically the magic number that makes the formula work. But you get a feel for when something is over/underpriced. Make sure you're trading liquid options too, because if there's a wide bid/ask spread you can lose even when price goes your way
Likewise, beware of ERs. You can be 100% correct, but if you overpaid a call/put because the IV is very high for that contract, you can still lose as well.

>>60579800Well here's a trick, if you look at the etf fund's prospectus, it will tell you the methodology. Granted, it's automatic and typically diversified (maybe it's a basket of top 5s, or else just a CC on the SPY), but you can avoid whatever 1% fee they have on managing the fund and just copy the strategy yourself

>>60579800>>60579818what about yieldmax?
I had about 3k before I sold it at profit to gamble away like a dipshit
seems some of the "highest" yields are going more and more down, was it really just a scam, really high yields for a year to get people into it, then they lower yields gradually and run away with the money or something?
note i have a tax free account so divvies arent taxed
>>60579837A normal company has a dividend of about 2-4%. Anything higher is going to interfere with their FCF and be a burden on their growth. Usually a largecap company will have peaked for growth and just trends with the sector/market (eg WMT had a like 60% return over the last year, but so did the majority of the market). There are some companies like VALE or PBR that have paid like 20-40% dividends in the past, but this isn't sustainable
There's also SGOV, which manages 0-3 month US treasuries and rolls them internally. In practice, this translates to a return of 3-4% annually. One share is $100.xx, depending on how close it is to the month (the price is extremely regular, you don't "get in" at a low, because as time runs out on the month, price ticks up, which represents the accumulated value of the dividend). I have my excess cash parked in this so I can get some stable yield and then buy the dips on other shit.
What you might consider doing is setting up a DCA strategy to buy something every month (like SPY/VOO) regardless of what it's doing, or checking a few things every week and buying it when it's like at least 5-10% off its ATH.
The name of the game is survival. Risk gets you money, risk management keeps it. Can your strategy work over 10, 20 years?
>>60579818yeah they do pretty much spell it out, but to me at least, its worth paying someone 1% to do it for me and not have to bother.
You seem pretty knowledgeable, do you think funds like QDTE could be around for 5-10+ years? not looking for huge gains, but so far its been beating qqq for me, and I like the idea of a hands off way to generate some income
>>60579837Ymax has more garbage funds then good ones IMO, purely by making bad calls/timing as far as I can tell since im no options pro, I have made money off MSTY and a couple others, but I make more off QDTE and it seems to be more stable with less decay through bad market conditions. I feel like a lot of these funds can go belly up, but well managed ones that last 5+ years could be game changing and maybe people just havnt caught on to why a "hold forever for yield" stock has advantages over a "buy low sell high" growth stock.
but also, they could decay into nothing if management fucks up too much or the market does certain things.

>>60579861So basically, since a deep ITM position is roughly equal to a long position (but with less upfront capital), they use that as a cover for writing the CCs in the first place, which is a fairly common way to do it. One interesting thing to note is that since it's an index they're trading against, there's no early assignment risk (eg, it's cash-settled).
The most relevant part is "QDTE offers weekly income but sacrifices a portion of capital appreciation", which is the risk of CCs in the first place; you cap your upside and potentially miss out on the gains that matter. Compare the chart of QDTE to SPY, you can see they roughly inverse on the weekly chart (likely due to dividends)
My thought is that it might be worth holding it in a bear market. I notice the fund is fairly new, about a year or so. Given how it started off expensive and trends down over time, it looks similar to those leveraged/commodity/forex etfs that shred value over time. As noted here, a low volatility environment is bad for the fund (eg bull markets).
Like those other etfs, I expect it'll stay around for a while until a major black swan event bankrupts it... since it's not leveraged, it should be fine. I'd expect it to trend down over time, so you might have to reinvest the dividend back into it, and expect reverse splits over time
>>60578497He can give up the pizza rolls for spoonfuls of peanut butter and a multivitamin.
>>60579854someone stop me if I am wrong and explain how, but these funds specifically are not growth funds from what I read.
The dividends are paid out of the income generated by writing calls (unless shitty managers pay out of the NAV) so there is not a focus on growth, rather on sustaining that income generated from calls. the trade off is limited upside growth if it rockets up, while still losing if it rockets down, but if they can write mostly good calls, you should be able to sustain the fund indefinitely.
Over time, the compounding effect from DRIP, especially more frequent payouts, should also work in their favour.
Or you know, it could all fail NAV decay to 0$ and I lose everything.
>>60579889yeah, I think the last time I did the math, I could put in 92% as DRIP and take out 8%, but i generally put 100% in with the mind set that (unless I sell it) that if a 1000 shares can pay me over 500 a month, its a good deal to me given a long time frame and that i was able to grow shares/monthly income from just reinvesting the fund into itself.

So if you have $100k in cash, but only use ~ $15k for PLTR or CRWV options (that is what I do), you make the premium (5% on the 15K not the 100,000) per option contract then can sell another contract over and over depending on the stock price appreciation, range, and duration of the contract. I am slowly working my up to multiple contracts on different stocks, but sometimes I just hold the stock because of a big dip, or because its running and I do not want to lose it for too small a premium.

>>60580742delicious flat chest
also no more and more of the "inertia" is turning away. A lot of institutions and governments in europe are quitting microsoft

>>60580403lol, lmao thereโs literally no wrong the GOP can do that the public canโt forgive in 4 years. They could pass legislation demanding that every infant born in the next year be considered Israeli property and sure theyโd take maybe a bruising in the next midterm but thatโd be about it, come the next presidential elections the Republicans will be back at full strength.
