Not wallets, but people. The normal reaction to a rising price is to distribute the risk onto many wallets.
So what looked like sales over the years was actually just risk management.

I find myself wondering if this is some kind of back of the sofa situation, someone has opened up a hard drive belonging to a relative who died 14 years ago and discovered a wallet.dat, or it's someone who's just got out of prison. Can't think that someone just hodling normally would sit on it for that long and not transfer it somewhere along the way into more contemporary and secure forms of storage.

You can't dump that much into the market without driving the price down, so if they have any sense they'll sell it all OTC anyway, off-market to someone like Saylor or Blackrock. That might even have already happened, the movements we're seeing might be into the buyer's addresses.

If Blackrock bought all the BTC at an average of 90-100k per coin then it's in their best interest to keep the price above this level.
