I also own the most highly valued building in my community (small community, valued at a million for property tax purposes).
So I need someone that can arrange a lot of affairs and give me ideas on where I should be funneling and spending the money.
Setting up things like the LLC renting off of me personally and to what degree and at what rent level that keeps me personally paying less taxes.
Its' further complicated by my wife making $400,000/y, so I believe we will stop filing jointly this next time around.
There is a LOT here to tinker with and it takes expertise.
The question you asked seems a a little simplified and not really relevant to reducing my tax burden.
When SALT went away a few years ago (I'm in IL) I had to rejigger.
The BBB just moved it back up to $40,000 which covers almost entirely my $52,000 a year in local property taxes on my commercial property. So now I can start reporting more income because I can deduct it.
It's a FUCKING LOT and I use high level help. I don't need someone telling me to make sure and collect my receipts for small time shit.
I am not a tax expert. I need one.
