It's pretty conclusive that economics of having kids is only part of the problem, the larger issue is cultural. Rich countries become feminist, which leads to women chasing careers or being sluts without social consequence, and the no-fault divorce laws that have risen from that have vastly skewed against the higher earner (almost always men) which makes men more reluctant to settle down, not to mention social media/internet/technology has given high value men access to vastly more women which has raised many women's expectations to retarded heights, and overall a drop in religion and moral decay across the board.
We really are coasting on the greatness that the previous society created.
