I just found out that the point of going to bars and clubs is not to get wasted but to get tipsy in order to be more sociable and to bring a girl home.

bar employees when someone goes to their establishment and gets drunk (the whole reason their establishment exists is to get people drunk)

also it might just be my area but there's almost zero single women out at bars/clubs. I spent all summer last year going out with friends and almost never saw girls that were a) not fat and b) not with a guy already. I suppose it was a viable way to bring women home and have a one night stand a decade or two ago but it doesn't seem feasible nowadays.
