Is this board just for shitcoins and schizoposting about penny stocks? Why no credit card threads?
Anyway, I've had Chase for nearly 20 years, never had to manually dispute a charge until today. For some reason I assumed it would be simple but their "reasons for dispute" are nonsensical and they tell you "don't pick this option if you ____" without telling you what you should pick if ____ applies. It seems to me like they just want me to give up and not try to use the dispute system, which has destroyed my confidence in this bank. It's like insurance that doesn't pay when you have a claim, why bother in that case? It's not even that big a dollar amount but if it was, that would be a real problem.
Is Amex like this? Surely Amex is prestigious for a reason, right? I just have a shitload of Chase cards because that's where I have my main and oldest checking account but I'm reading a lot about how much they suck if you ever have a problem with a merchant. Also I don't like obscure/weird cards, and Amex counts as obscure/weird in my book. I have a Discover because it's free but if it wasn't free it wouldn't be worth the hassle of having something so weird.
Also cards general unless this is just totally off topic.
