E.g. if you're a surgeon, and you just want to work all the time to be the best surgeon ever. Or a scientist, and you want to discover new things. Work is still hard and high-stakes, but it's fun, kind of like playing a hard video game.

Is it cringe to do that? Or am I supposed to want to make 10m off trading and then chill the rest of my life?

Up until now, hard work was the ideal peddled to the goyim all the time, bundled with morals and fairness.
With AI, I don't know, they don't need us anymore, they certainly want to get rid of us now, to free up resources for themselves.
In any case, you can't be the best surgeon anymore, a robot will be 10000x better this decade.

You could try to become the best at growing an armada of scamming AIs. But you will have to compete with a whole subcontinent.

Being a surgeon or a lawyer is such a cuck job. Imagine studying for 10 years and paying hundred of thousands in tuition just so you can be some stupid cuck wagie who works 10 hour stressful days and who has to deal with some normalfags health/legal problem for 30 years. You're literally no different than some mcdonalds service wagie but instead of making big macs you work on some disgusting boomers hip replacement like a good little cuck.

Yes, but the boomer is a multimillionaire, fell for the keto meme (=lots and lots of lard), and now would pay anything to get that quintuple bypass at age 54.
Bit different to getting slaved to death at Amazon for Jeff Bezos' joy.

I work in recruiting for a niche health care trade. It’s a mix of paramedic and nursing skills. We train people from 0-100 so it can be your first job out of high school or a second job for someone looking to deviate from their normal 9-5 office job.

I get a lot of satisfaction from recruiting people from Fall-Spring months. In the summer I switch teams to train new recruits from all over the country. Sometimes the people I recruited are in the class, that’s when I really love what I do. Seeing your folks go from nothing to something. It’s great. Money is fine too, I make a little under 100K per year. My cost of living expenses are around $1500 per month so I’m able to save a lot. Not a bad life

It's not something 4chan NEET incels will ever understand.

I like my job. I'd probably do it for free, it just so happens that I get paid a lot.

>work with cool equipment and incredibly expensive materials
>not a cubiclecel
>not a tradie
>fast paced, just stressful enough to get a buzz
>dozens of people who rely on me for information and decision making

it's like a strategy game in real life and the reward system is actually real instead of some gay skinner box

I'd say 99% of the time it means you're a NPC with aphantasia. The other 1% is just people doing what brings joy to their hearts, among this 1% there may be one or two faggot surgeons who enjoy doing their job, most people that do things with a burning passion are maybe doing their hobbies, like being GM in tetris, drawing furry hentai, hunting/fishing, etc

Uncle A said that it was in the Aryan soul that working and creating value is imperative to our happiness. Having purpose, having a role, a civilization and contributing are all good things. The problem is the current system is set up to extract wealth and resources.
The banks throw our trillion of dollars of debt and the friction creating by repaying loans is akin to them pulling in the fishing net for their harvest. It is so bad now that almost 100% of every dollar you earn or spend gets recycled back in to the financial system.
Working is great, but they system actually needs cheap imputs (labor, commodities, goods) to allow them to steal enough. So all in all, most people are underpaid and in such it makes work degrading and a waste of time. Even your 401k contributions are getting the ol' switcheroo where you are probably bag-holding FAANG stocks that they plan to dump once it is convenient. Even insurance is just a scam to get you to bag-hold government bonds. The same government that spends trillions on wars is somehow going to turn around and pay you back plus interest. We all only owe like $200,000 per person to make these bonds good. (just pay up bro!). If you don't believe me, I would invite you to describe what sort of mechanism is at work here where we are generation something from nothing without there being a value-distribution (such as the devaluation of cash).

Yes, the dollar is being devalued, but the solution is to just make more money and invest it.

Especially medicine in the US is underappreciated for what it actually provides. Good doctors make 600k-1m/year+, either in competitive specialties or doing locums. Excellent doctors easily make over 1m/year in their peak earning years, matching coveted FAANG titles.

And they do that helping people and working in a team, which provides a lot of satisfaction. Plus, if you want to work with cool (health/bio)technology, there's nothing stopping you for doing consulting for pharma/healthtech, or research at an academic center if you want a cushier job.

>inb4 many doctors only make 200k and work shit hours
These are the equivalent of average-performing codemonkeys, not the cream of the crop. Like in computer science, many of these doctors are now Indian.

>inb4 blood sucks, working with people sucks, stress
It's not for pussies, get a grip.

Idk man, I like my job, especially the research part, it feels like I'm contributing something. But I've spent so much time here that I've started to care about the approval of anons like this >>60587220, hence the thread.

I just want to follow the meta of life. I want to know what the meta is and I want to do that. Also when playing any video game, I am incapable of just "trying out different things" or seeing what I like. I just want to know the meta so I can do it. Anything else is suboptimal and a gay larp.

I'm financially independent from trading but took a position in government for the fun of it. It's a political appointment so I mostly spend my time Bateman-maxxing and hanging out in an office looking good and going to lunch at nice places than doing hard work while also being important. Pretty good.

I just started working as a university research assistant and I love it. I make a pittance but I don't care at all because I can just chill in a casual work environment, make scientific discoveries and publish them, and play with cwipto cuwwencies while biding time. I've spent several months unemployed, and several years at a breakneck-speed tech startup, and this is my happy medium.
the only challenging part is I have to pretend to be a poorfag so the others don't get jealous.

It is natural and good to want to work. To see your own labor bear fruit, knowing that you are growing your skills and are useful to your tribe. This feels fulfilling, it's what we evolved to do.

However that is very different from a lot of modern jobs, where 1) you do not see the fruits of your labor because your job is so far removed from the end product, or is maybe even entirely pointless, and 2) the work is menial and doesn't grow you as a person and doesn't interest you.
It's Marx's theory of alienation.
