>>60590206 (OP)You're giving me the impression that you believe there is considerable overlap between marketing to lesbians and marketing to gay men - you could not be further from the mark.
Gay men hook-up where gay women pair-up: capitalising on easy casual sex for lesbians is a bust.
Lesbians are notorious networkers. Chances are that Donna in San Francisco does know Latisha in Shreveport through Peta in Vancouver. Piss one off, you piss them all off, and your business is ruined overnight.
Lesbians publically support trans women, but privately hold themselves apart from them, because SHOCKINGLY they aren't fans of the ol' franks and beans. If you let trans women into your lesbian bar, they will suddenly find some other problem with it and stop coming BUT OF COURSE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TRANS WOMEN IN OUR SPACE.
So, we're looking for a venue that is built for socialising rather than a quickie in the toilet, has the means for facilitating connections and networking, and keeps the trans women out.
You're basically making a members-only girly bar the equivalent of Linked-In.
Godspeed, OP.
