Work is pretty fucking gay yet for some reason I try hard and try to do good work (I'm a Software Engineer), even though I know damn well it'll lead to more work for little to nothing in return. It's hard for me to be a slacker and do nothing.

What's wrong with me /biz/? Why am I such a cuck for a stupid fucking corporation? I don't even give a fuck about climbing the corporate ladder.

This is 90% if women in the workplace. They do it to try and pretend their life has more meaning than shitting out kids. Also they are easily manipulated and actually believe pushing papers around is making some sort of difference in the world and makes them important.

i have a gay and jewish job (accounting) but i take a personal pride in doing it well despite not caring about the company or its finances, hating the industry i work in, and hating executives anyone with a title above like 'director.'

in the near future i will be starting my own accounting firm because working hard for yourself is a worthwhile endeavor.

Yeah I have some pride too. Engineering can be fun and fits my hyper autistic personality. It gets the best of me though. I wouldn't be writing code if I was rich though desu.
