>>60594427 No, Trump is tanking the dollar on purppse, because he wants to pump US exports (except manufacturing jobs are not back to the US so far). There's no coming back i feel, like Yens.
>>60594442 Interesting, BTC historic price action trend against EUR is a lot more clearer than against USD

Hey retard, the DXY is the dollar value compared to other currencies. Not its actual purchasing power. DXY dropping just means the dollar’s weaker vs other fiat — it has nothing to do with Bitcoin. If BTC is down 12% in USD, it’s down. Cope harder, forex brainlet.
>Bitcoin is NOT a “store of value”. Also, the only reason the price is going up is because the dollar is getting weaker

>>60594424 (OP) That is one way of reducing the debt. Devalue the currency 12% and voilà, the debt is down 12%. Now look at the SP500 in Eur and you will see what is going on.

>>60594625 The point is that people (Americans mostly) have a fake perpection that BTC is at its all time high, but it's only when compared to USD because the USD is tanking not because BTC is pumping.
The USD is tanking in global forex markets, not for American spending. My gas and groceries are cheaper than they were last year while "the dollar was surging." If I withdraw my bitcoin, that's my purchasing power. Idgaf about temporary forex price fluctuations dipshit it's all about inflation. Global demand is lower for the dollar cause we're de-globalizing.
>>60594775 Some people trade in USD without living in the US. Also, it means that BTC maximalists and their charts are just fucking wrong. An accurate BTC chart would be to compare it to a mix of the main currencies that its traded against.
There have been periods where BTC rose against EUR or the pound or whatever while they were falling, this isn't a very interesting case you're trying to make. We use the chart to gauge it vs purchasing power which has remained steady in America even if the USD has lost some demand in global forex markets.

>>60594762 It's not a fake perception though, you're just really confused about what exchange rates mean.
