Bitcoin is minted through computing power on quasi decentralized networks.

Tether is just as good as any other cryptocurrency because you can buy tether with cash, then buy any other cryptocurrency on any major exchange.

Tether can be printed arbitrarily, โ€œpeopleโ€ in crypto celebrate the ecosystem which is now the same as the federal reserve system, power organizations can control the printing of the backbone currency.

They printed a billion out of thin air, and to top it off the overwhelming majority of crypto purchasers/holders buy and keep their coinage on a major exchange so we have no idea if the exchanges actually are buying the coins immediately.

Well that's a bit far isn't it? There are definitely SOME similarities, like ya know, how they can print as much tether as they want and nobody but them can actually verify if they have the cash/liquid assets to back it.

7/10/2025, 5:18:14 PM No.60604022
So help me understand:
>Tether holds a huge sum of BTC and they can mint tether to either pump BTC ( liquidating shorts ) or to provide exit liquidity ( liquidating longs ) so their game is to pump and dump BTC and other alt coins so they can just keep accumulating more and more BTC.
>Once they get big enough they start buying things like Treasuries/Gold and other assets to claim they have "backing" to their tether but they are using the printing money out of thin air trick that the Federal Reserve uses to collect real assets.... Tether using digital fiat to conjure out of thin air/electrons the "value" of another billion dollars for their dedicated pump/dump phases.
This has been going on for a while now and the real value of BTC is much lower if it was not for this scheme that Tether is running, which seems to benefit American government as it provides them another buyer of their debt at bond auctions....

No you are just a retarded schizo.
How it really works:
People/Institutions want to onboard crypto/hold stables. They pay in dollar and want Tether and Tether mints new coins if the supply gets bigger. So Tether gets the Dollar and mints new coins 1:1. Then Tether buys bonds and makes billions of profit per year.

They pump their own fake money (usd) with more fake money. This isn't new. Bitcoin just swallows it up.
Finance professionals knew as early as the late 70s that the party will have to end sometime, because inflating the money supply will only work so long with the rest of wages, economy, and so on.
Bitcoin is the actual solution, right in in front of your eyes, Anon.

Tether has never proven anything but for the last 3-4 years they were under more scrutiny and got their act together somewhat.

Originally they were 1000% scammy but back when they only had like 5-10bn market cap they had the discipline to only be a billion or two short and had the remainder on hand to defend their peg. So they were able to defend against all challenges. Issues only arise when scammers exploit their seceme to such extend that they don't have the liquidity to pay up when people demand it (e.g. FTX had close to zero BTC. If they had like 90% of the BTC they claimed they would have been able to cover it up because it's not like 90% of people withdraw at the same time but FTX wasn't even able to cover a few percent)
