Rent for a house similar sized to mine in the same area: $3,400
My mortgage:$1,987
So 18% of my bet wages per month
That's 1960s levels of cheap.

Ya ok gay boy.
Even factoring in repairs I had to do over the past 10yrs, it still averages less than $100 a month.
My boomer dad was right.
Always buy and own your own house.
Renting is for Cucks.

>He thinks $2K a month is a lot for a 1,800sqft house in a nice white neighborhood.

Bruh, ya know normal Fags are paying 2X that to rent in worse areas right?
Even single bedroom apartments are $2,000 a month now

your mortage is low because your house is cheap because you live in the fucking middle of nowhere, you retard. which is fine, just don't pretend like it's not where you live

depends on what stresses you out. Your landlord could raise your rent or decide not to renew at any point in your contract. If you're single guy, with a mattress and a chair, oh well, you can find any place. You could have kids that are in a certain school district and have their friends distanced if you have to move. Home ownership has a certain sense of security. That security is admittedly reliant upon a .gov that doesn't fuck you with taxes or importing mass immigrants or putting a landfill in your back yard, however, I'd choose home ownership security over a landlord if I can afford it.

Too much opportunity cost with mortgage cucking.

A deposit on a house put into BTC at the bear market bottom could by worth 7 figs 2 years later. Instead you get to wagecuck for 30 years to pay off your mortgage.

That's assuming the home value doesn't go up.
It always does.
Also assuming rents don't go up.
They always do.

It doesnt always appreciate intrinsically. Its about speculating on how far the population will grow in certain areas of the country.

What you want to buy is just land on the outskirts of growing central cities and wait 30 years.

I find it hard to believe that housing prices intrinsically increase without a population crisis or economic instability.

Theres multiple decades in that chart where prices are completely flat.

I bought my first house in 2001 for $169k using a $9k deposit. I’ve since upgraded 4 times and my current house is worth $2m and I have no mortgage. Owning has worked out well for me.
