I'm supposed to get ~45k cad in RSUs over 4 years. The first batch of 11k just vested and they are withholding 6k of that, over 50% to cover taxes...
That doesn't add up to me, in Canada capital gains tax on the total amount is ~11k.
What is going on??? I was planning on leaving after the vest date

unfamiliar with leaf taxes. In US< RSU's are generally ordinary income and calculated as such...money is money fren, it does feel gay that 11k is 6k in your pocket. Keep voting for retards, im sure it will get better for you...
