im getting raped on my options today
Honestly is it ever worth buying options more than a couple weeks out? If it starts moving against you you're fucked anyways and the premiums are always retarded high especially for anything that ever moves. Plus things crab so often you're really just hoping it decides to run a bit in the short term.
Seems I have a lot better luck with weeklies rather than any time I k try and go months out.
I am on a DCA plan to buy on the first of every month, and i told myself that for every 10% drawdown in the market I will add an extra month's worth.
Unless the market crashes I will be "all in" around Christmas time.
Feel free to buy until then, it will only crash after I make the final purchase.
>>60611107God has personally decided to destroy my deep in the money calls. It has been a really bad week.

Also, i think you need to push your muscles to the "breaking point", you want your muscles to get micro-damaged, and then heal, thats how they bulk.
But mainly steroids, theyre all juicing.

>>60611132>watching what I eatThat's the problem. You need to eat a calorie surplus, and make sure you have enough protein to build muscle.

I wouldn't touch them because I think yields will naturally go higher.

They have zero overlap, both are worldwide and derive returns from different sources.
I was looking for extra risk, volatility and returns over a long period, without having exposure into a specific country or sector, and without leverage.
Therefore it's perfect and performs exactly how I wanted.
This is for my 90% of my portfolio which is broad index funds and NEVER SELL territory. The other 10% is for gambling but I can't find anything worth gambling on right now.

what a world what a world
Lads:
Around March I began looking up this investing thingy. Four months have passed and I have read a bunch of book (all the reading list on If You Can: How Millenials Can Get Rich Slowly) and began with The Intelligent Investor.
I have also made a crude portfolio goal of
>35% Euro stocks (no UK) as I'm an Europoor
>10% Euro bonds
>7,5% Euro small caps
>30% S&P 500
>7,5% USA small caps
>5% global mining
>5% emerging markets
I initially dumped a stack into the S&P to see how it feels. Now I have to play catch-up with all other items until they're balanced. For this purpose I'll be directing 20% of my earnings there as soon as I get them.
I have also a sandbox set aside with a smaller slice of my NW, and the rule there is that any addition there must be "taxed" by a 133.33...% contribution to the main portfolio. The idea being that sure, I can gamble, but only as long as I'm willing to save hard AND be willing to deprive myself of other non primary expenses.
I would appreciate /smg/'s feedback on this.

most from sept calls on USIO finally showing some signs of strength, also a mix of my defense tickers getting new contracts.
surprise was my SDST play, I found them through their broker dealer, Aegis capital.
don't buy any ticker associated with Aegis for long term holding. But since SDST just got their first private placement from Aegis, figured they'll at least get one pump, and it happened after hours. Now I'll just put a stop loss and what happens happens, not expecting anything outside of a monday pump, any company that Aegis touches eventually goes to near zero, but with a few bumps in the chart so they can sell off the shares, get their commission, then usually the price slowly or quickly craters. every single chart of every single company outside of one lone success story looks the same, exponential slope to zero with a few bumps.
Really its fascinating once ya look behind the curtain of some of these smallcap broker dealers, they have 20+ finra violations, and most of the companies they deal out are unprofitable buzzword tickers. Reminds me of the business that Jordan Belfort ran in Wolf of Wall Street, they just play by the rules a bit more so they don't get shut down.

What you note is very important about the fed chair. Getting rid of Powell early or waiting till his term ends next year changes nothing besides one vote on the board. Doesn't matter who Trump puts in his place. The head of the Fed does not set rates on their own. The board works together to set rates. This fact has been purposefully left out of all administration and media narratives.

>>60613715UNH is still under investigation and given the chicanery they've done to maximize shareholder value, the Department of Justice is guaranteed to find something that will make UNH a long-term baghold. (It has risen from $598 million in 2013.)>With a 6.5% cap, the CFPBโs funding would have been maxed out at $446 million this year, a roughly 46% reduction.>Chi Chi Wu, director of consumer reporting and data advocacy at the National Consumer Law Center, said a slimmer budget would likely mean greater challenges with policing financial firms, especially large institutions.>"It takes a lot of resources to go after the big dogs,โ Wu said.>โIt was already David and Goliath,โ she said. โThis just makes the situation worse. Now you have half a David.โ>The CFPB didnโt return a request for comment.>Same watchdog duties, less money>The CFPB has three primary functions, Wu said: enforcement of laws on the books; supervising financial firms (kind of like a bank examiner, but with a consumer protection mission); and fielding consumer complaints.>The agency recouped $21 billion in relief for more than 205 million consumers since its inception, according to CFPB data as of Dec. 3.>Over that time it had imposed more than $5 billion of penalties on financial firms and fielded about 7 million consumer complaints, the majority of which were about credit reports, according to agency data.
There will only be deregulation. You will be at the mercy of companies. And you shall have none.
The correct approach would be to tell those companies to punish them and tell them how to behave and if they don't they won't be allowed to do business in "the greatest shop of the world". Basically the same argument Trump has for tariffs. But for whatever reason, he does not do it for the american companies. Why? He does not care about the american people.
