It's related to a bug that made rather large waves may years ago from a Twitter post. Devs did a fix to try to mitigate it but it was barely a band aid. There are companies who will broker a deal on your behalf if you can convince them of it's criticality. They will negotiate with ripple for a fair price. Zerodium, ZDI etc.
