What’s the best way to monitor financial markets continuously? Prices, news, alerts, upcoming events etc. Do I need to open twenty chrome tabs and check the same couple of websites like every hour?

Youre asking the wrong board for this.

statistically only 3 to 20% of active day traders consistently make a profit.

There are no free dinners in life. Bitcoin itself was an anomaly where 80+% lost big by actively chasing charts

I don't want to be a day trader. I'm just asking if there is an easier way to occasionally check prices and news throughout the day. Instead of opening 10 or 20 chrome tabs and going to different sites like every couple of hours. I'm asking what are your practices.

If you want to trade that infrequently and not stare at a screen forever, I don't think you need more than 10-20 tabs.

what you want to do is get your hands on a full year's worth of price change test data
keep it simple to start.
Get this set up on just 1 stock ticker symbol or crypto-USD. So, get your fat ass over to finance.yahoo.com and figure out if it lets you download daily closing values for a full year. it might be 12 monthly csv downloads at worst, I don't remember. Also, it might make you pay to download data. get it somewhere free since you're poor.
now, if you also have a job in an office in America, then you might have Office 365. It's pretty common, I think. Or maybe I just have a Chad job (I don't).
Get into the Teams or SharePoint websites and figure out how your existing Office 365 license lets you use Power Apps or Power Automate.
They are both pretty easy to mess around with if you are not completely retarded. They also should have Copilot built into them unless your company's IT locked it out. If you do have it, you can ask that fucker everything and it'll walk you through stuff step-by-step like you're 5. I recommend a simple Power Automate flow that would monitor a folder for a file, read it, and do something with each line on that file.

Once you get that working, test it with your full year of data and see what happens. I got a flow working the other day that sends me an email anytime someone makes a change to a shared file on Teams. Sneaky marketing faggots changing numbers and not telling anybody and they won't let me (only FP&A person) lock everything down

all you have to do is lurk here for news, lately nothing ever happens, back in the day you needed like 3 monitors following the btc price 24/7, eth price and the shitcoin you're trading that day, and another monitor to goon to hentai neko trans girls (ballsack is a must not those half assed futa neko girls) as you're high on marihuana and piss yourself over trying to cum hands free while you're sitting in your gamer chair

I learned that the very hard way.
Nowadays my system consists of 2-3 trades per month at most. Will take years to make a living solely from crypto but is better than "making it" in 3 months just to lose everything because a tweet.
