Whenever someone says something like this, I laugh but also feel extreme pity.
Because the person has 0 idea what's going on, like, at all - and they don't understand the nature of money and currency

Itโ€™s the most lukewarm IQ take

Ask them why gold is valuable and they will tell you itโ€™s because we use it in electronics, itโ€™s physical, or itโ€™s rare but arenโ€™t aware enough to know Gold is valuable because humans made it a Schelling Point but the same applies to Bitcoin

Gold is valuable for the same reason BTC is. Because are willing to pay a certain price for it.
At the end of the day some people prefere to have a physical item rather than a digital one, I have a bit of both.

Don't omit that, it's the main reason apart from NPC greed why it's being made successful.

Dishonest. Fiat is a societal contract, partially undermined. Bitcoin is becoming one, if they can somehow solve the superpower problem that any state using it extensively becomes vulnerable.
If it replaces Fiat, it will have inflation, just in more convoluted ways.

Correct. Bitcoin was originally supposed to be a currency and is designed to be a store of value to act as one. It's built-in limits and features display that. People only treat it as an asset to be traded because it turned into this strange non-currency/currency-stock hybrid. It produces nothing because it's not supposed to - all you're doing is trading/investing on arbitrage between currencies and the broader economy.

DeFI projects that do represent something i.e.DeFi lending and expansion of that are of greater importance for practical investment.

>and is designed to be a store of value to act as one
This is a difficult one. It was designed to act as a live currency used for trade or so it was said to be. The architecture requires high trade to function. High trade increases fees on a diminishing coin supply, mining, halving. Ipso facto if trade diminishes (most using as store of value) mining becomes unsustainable from a financial stand, thus transaction time increases. Less miners, less security.
