Honestly the language of banning CBDCs is too retarded. I don't care about them one way or another for personal use but if these small dicks had any backbone they'd instead define rules such that any bank can issue a stable coin, central bank included, and let the market decide what to hold their value in rather than going schizo and attempting to block the US CBDC.

If there are strong enough guarantees of safety they should be equivalently and adequately risk minimized no matter if it's a privately issued stable coin or a CBDC. The only thing they should have done is protected PRIVATE stable coins from being eliminated easily AS WELL AS defining regulations to ensure security and liquidity in high risk/high volume events
