Let me get this straight, you only need to get rich once (1) and compound interest will make you exponentially wealthier.

Isn't this insanely unfair?
Millions of wagies will never make it while some people earn multiple times their salary doing literally nothing.

This is just how scaling works. Most dynasties piss it all away in 2 generations anyway.

Do the math, it only takes one generation of literal burgerflipping to escape the matrix aka your kid(s) will life off eternal compound interest
if everyone had the basic iq and comprehension the entire system would collapse in a generation due to people opting out of waging and just living off their portfolio dividends
when you realize that and you come from a low caste parenting, you get even more upset at your parents seeing as they have not already made it

This.

You only need to fuck it up and go to zero once (1) to undo everything you and/or your ancestors ever accomplished. Which is actually really easy to accomplish given enough time. Add lacking diversification or even some leverage into the mix and you're almost guaranteed to fuck it up within a reasonable timeframe.

In America, $1.5m. In 2nd world countries, more like $500k. The compounding will do all the work and you can live off of 3-4% per year. More than likely it grows considerably and you're living richly by your old age.

I'm lower class and I'm not angry with my parents. I'm angry with my grandmothers. My parents didn't know their father, both of them! They wouldn't have known anything about the stock market or compound interest, and they started working at 15.

Living in blind hatred of your parents will do you no good. Figure it out for yourself to succeed, by the way, I probably earn more than you without having to work.

This is a real factor. Good thing that there are high TC jobs avialable. I mean average High starting MINIMUM jobs of TC (total compensation) at around 200-250k. Most everyone did the 4 year CS degree and as such had those jobs after. Good things is that you can get promoted after 2-3 years and make 325k average min Total Compensation (TC). Anyway though the real compounding factor, to your point, is that SWE 5 or 6 helps you get to aorund 500kish TC Average so that is pretty good and it takess some time but having at least the 250k average TC min is usllay enough to buy a house to hold yourself over.

If you let positive real interest rates run for a long enough timeframe, one person ends up with all the money in the world.
