Can I get a retard check? I slurped up 1600 OPENs avg at $1 but i doubt it'll moon to $50 like reddit thinks.
Planning on selling calls 1 month out 800 shares at a time so even if it does moon I'm making a hefty profit on the sale like $3 strike price. If the price starts coming back down I can buy back my calls and dump the shares at market price, right?

It's just so immensely expensive that if they can't afford to spend tons of money off the bat, they probably won't last long, and this is talking about an industry where a small space company should have a market cap of over $20 billion.

A few months ago, some anon shilled MSTY saying the dividends would be worth. I bought about $10k worth of shares and have been getting 600-700 dollars in dividends a month, which isn't too bad.
I can toss $100k into MSTY, which would theoretically 10x my dividends to 6000-7000 dollars a month which would more than cover my monthly expenses.
Am I overlooking something or is this how it would actually work? 6-7k a month is nothing to sneeze at, especially for only a 100k investment.
>>60640527>why is there a huge dump on my portafolio?I could not wait to get home
>>60640559Why would you want any dividends at all? They fucking suck for taxes.
>>60640305he's too midwit to be a good trader
>>60640155>mooning except for LUNRyou can hold and see if they turn things around, sell some to invest in other space stocks, or sell all and invest in other space stocks. I have a small LUNR position but the loss is dwarfed by the gains on the other space stocks so I dont care at this time. If LUNR does not turn things around this year I will begin trimming the position on any price improvements.
>>60640641It's guaranteed money and easy. Just tell me if my math is correct.
>>60640305it'll dump tmrw or friday
>>60640695>It's guaranteed moneythey can always cut the div any time they want. If the price of the stock declines the lost value can offset any dividends you receive. I use div from a group of high div stocks for money to buy volatile stocks that are likely to 2x-10x so those gains would offset any loss on the dividend stock. Invest $10k sure, maybe $20k, probably not $30, $100k nope.
Biz memes had their day and market is nearing ATH with the start of big tech earnings with TSM and NFLX to likely beat tomorrow and push the Nasdaq higher into next week. Bank earnings were solid and are also hovering near ATH - see BAC, JPM, etc. American Express earnings also coming up which should show how small business is doing. I think we are going higher boys but as a precaution go long rare earths, nuclear, defense, crypto and metals as a hedge. Orange juice and copper also shot up recently - something to keep an eye on. Interesting that VIX got near 19 on the fake Powell firing news and then immediately went down to 17 when The Don shot it down

>>60640715I guess it's too optimistic to live off dividends huh. Reinvesting it into other stocks is probably the safer bet overall.
Thanks anon.
>>60640570What are your expectations tomorrow? You think they are announcing something good, or will we be waiting a few more weeks?
>>60640768>to live off dividendsIts definitely possible, if you have enough stocks paying a stable 2-6% (some could be a bit higher), but the higher the div the more chance it will be cut in a downturn. I get about $24k a year in interest and div (mix of stocks, bonds, ETF of bonds) but I am currently mostly in steady growth and some rapid growth stocks. Once I get to what feel is a more comfortable total amount I will focus on long term steady dividends to live off. Some of the high div stocks were paying 30-40% but they cut back to re-invest in the business, now they are down to7-9%, I expect them to go back up once their capex is done and the new investments start to pay off. I just don't risk too much on any one area. You can double your monthly div by increasing your MSTY from 10 to 20, or be a bit risky and go to 30 (its your money your call). Look at the price and dividend history and look for long term growth of stock and dividends as the best plays.
what do i even invest in as a canadian theres like 4 good stocks i remember someone posted their profile and it was 100% canadian equities what are you investing in
>>60640808Living off investments (either dividends or stock growth) is the dream. I noticed how much MSTY was giving and thought I could get by with its high dividends but its overall too risky.
>>60640835You can buy some stable growth stocks that pay a decent dividend and auto reinvest the div into the stock for long term growth -something like Chevron or Exxon, are a mix of both. But oil has long term cycles. Look at the price of Exxon in 2000 it was cheap, buying then gives you growth and dividend if you had some cash to take advantage. If you bought earlier you rode the price down. I was lucky to be watching ATT shit the bed from about 30 down to 15 then was not paying attention for a few months and did not know there was a new CEO with a turn around plan and the price was climbing to 15, 17, 19 (paying about 6%) and I started buying at 19 -21, now its about 28, so I got gains and good dividends. You will see some good opportunities over the years that can really boost your portfolio. slow steady good investing and you will make it.

You can get a huge boost from some newer stocks that you invest a little in while they are cheap and risky and hold for a few years and if they make it so do you. PLTR dropped to $7, ASTS was down to about $2.50. Its easy to look back and pick winners, but there are winners to pick. It's fucking baffling why you guys talk about dividends, getting $24k a year, needing $600k to live off of, or even $1 million. Are you joking? Have you looked at any chart for any asset in existence right now? If you have even $50k, you can live off of capital gains from the S&P 500. Arguably even just $25k is enough. Clearly you've missed the memo that risk assets no longer carry any risk, which means leverage does not carry any risk. There are countless ways to make $100k/year using $50k of capital, but as one simple example, S&P 500 futures contracts have an initial margin requirement of $25k. That means you can hold 2 of them at a time, and they're 12x leverage. Open up a chart of the S&P, and any time the price pulls back $20 from any recent high, buy 2 contracts, and literally just hold until it goes $20 above your entry. It's $2000 profit each time and you can do it at least 3 times a month, usually much more. No stop loss because, and this is important: It's literally impossible to lose. This strategy has a 100% success rate since 2020. One hundred percent. I cannot stress that enough: a ZERO PERCENT failure rate. If you haven't yet quit your job to live off of stocks, then unfortunately you can safely diagnose yourself as a fucking retard and just a complete fucking loser as well.
>>60640916trump wants powell gone but he doesnt want to crash the market either and is too retarded to realize the moment powell is out the bond market will blow up
>>60641136>space stocks are just pent up because the only company worth talking about (spacex) is privateSpace is quickly being weaponized by China, Russia and US. US is running the printing presses and spending a fortune on space comms for military, funding private companies for development and operation of sat constellations for comms and spying. The BBB has tens of billions in new spending for more launch capability (DOD wants more than SpaceX for diversity and more capability). So, successful launch (RKLB) and comms (ASTS) are likely to be big money makes for a while longer. If SpaceX goes public the stock see an insane price spike.
>>60641164My bet is SpaceX will go public once the hammer starts to come down on TSLA

>>60640559I've heavily researched this strategy. It is absolutely possible, especially since MSTY dividends are technically ROC. So, tax free until you make back your initial investment.
I've been building MSTY shares for the last few months, I now pay my mortage with the dividend. As I'm heavily bullish on BTC, even with declining volatility, I believe NAV will be relatively stable for the next year. MSTY altered some of its agreement to also hold shares of MSTR, so it's not purely just selling synthetic calls (i.e., making money from BTC volatility). Last month was 1.2, we are likely going back to 1.5+ this month.
>>60640053>SMCICan someone please explain the bull case for SMCI?
>>60641356it's not even back to its ATH (ETH). it's going way higher. alt season just kicked off. jump in now or rope later.
>>60641435>>60641393>Explain me the "bull case" for SCMI (Super Micro Computer)The bull case for Super Micro Computer, Inc. (SMCI) centers on its strong positioning in the rapidly growing artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure market, robust financial performance, and strategic advantages that could drive significant long-term growth. Below is a detailed explanation of the key points supporting the bullish outlook for SMCI, based on available information:1. Dominance in AI Infrastructure and High-Performance ComputingMarket Leadership: SMCI has evolved from a Silicon Valley startup into a global leader in high-performance server and storage solutions, particularly for AI, cloud computing, 5G, and blockchain. Its focus on AI-optimized servers, especially liquid-cooled systems, positions it to capitalize on the growing demand for AI-driven data centers. Approximately 70% of its Q3 2025 net sales came from AI GPU customers, highlighting its deep integration into the AI ecosystem.
Strategic Partnerships: SMCIโs strong partnership with Nvidia, providing early access to high-end data center GPUs, gives it a competitive edge over traditional server vendors like Dell and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). Additionally, SMCI is expanding partnerships with AMD and Intel, diversifying its offerings and reducing dependency on a single supplier.
Innovative Product Portfolio: SMCIโs modular โbuilding blockโ approach allows customers to customize systems for specific workloads, offering flexibility that competitors struggle to match. Recent product launches include AI-focused full-stack data storage solutions, liquid-cooled GPU clusters for large language models, and ready-to-deploy AI data centers. These innovations align with the increasing need for energy-efficient, high-performance computing.
>>60641393>>606414412. Strong Financial Performance and Growth PotentialRevenue Growth: SMCI reported $14.98 billion in revenue for the fiscal year ending June 2024, reflecting a 109.8% year-over-year increase. This growth significantly outpaces peers like Dell, HP, and Western Digital, which saw a median revenue decline of 0.9%.
Profitability: The company achieved a net income of $1.21 billion with an 8.1% margin, nearly double the peer median of 4.4%. Its earnings per share (EPS) grew by 79.3%, and its five-year return of 1,924.2% has outpaced the S&P 500โs 1,844.0%.
Attractive Valuation: As of May 29, 2025, SMCIโs stock was trading at $41.15 with a trailing P/E of 22.80 and a forward P/E of 13.64, suggesting it is undervalued compared to other high-growth tech firms. Analysts see potential for the stock to reach $60 by summer 2026, with some optimistic targets as high as $1,100-$1,500 by early fiscal 2026 if SMCI maintains its growth trajectory and valuation multiples.
3. Macro Trends and Market OpportunitiesAI Market Expansion: The AI sector is experiencing explosive growth, with increasing demand for data center infrastructure to support intensive computational workloads. SMCI is well-positioned to benefit from this trend, as enterprise AI adoption, energy-efficient data centers, and edge computing gain traction.
Global Expansion: SMCI is scaling its manufacturing capacity, particularly in Taiwan, to meet surging demand and integrate with the AI supply chain. Its vendor-neutral approach allows it to quickly adopt emerging AI hardware, maintaining a rapid time-to-market advantage.
Energy Efficiency Focus: With AI data centers requiring significant power, SMCIโs expertise in liquid-cooled systems (expected to feature in 30% of its AI server racks by 2026) addresses the growing need for energy-efficient solutions, giving it an edge over competitors.

>>60642004I think that a lot of TA is just a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy. It doesn't really matter if gap-filling has a sound technical reason behind it, so long as enough people and algorithms believe that it's a real thing then they will trade in a way which makes it happen.

>>60642937yes, especially with the 50% tariffs

>>60642934markets been ez mode since liberation day just trade 0DTEs
So I bought 30 shares of UNH yesterday on the dip for around $293. I can see it in my history.
But in my gain/loss window it says my average is $295 and Iโm down like 80 bucks. Wtf happened?
>>60642994If you hit market buy it buys at the nearest sell orders on the order book.
>>60642994nigga thats why you use limit orders, market means MARKET RATE
>>60643001I owned the shares at the correct $293 price though yesterday.
It didnโt change until this morning when I looked. Shit better change back at open. Hopefully just a glitch.

First trading week stories?
>be me on day 5 of my first trading week
>show up to the market square with my shares
>meekly make my way to the rookie corner trying not to draw any attention
>hear a loud voice, "THERE he is!"
>oh shit it's my stock bully
>he calls me a paperhands bitch and slaps my shares out of my weak grasp
>the other traders are gathering around me snickering
>"P-Please don't C-Chadwick not today", I manage to whisper
>"HEY EVERYONE, let's give the rookie some dividends!"
>the pennies start bouncing off of me as the crowd gets into it
>I'm starting to cry while I scurry around on the floor collecting my divvies, I needed the money
>the crowd becomes silent for a moment
>feel a dark and looming prescence behind me
>turn my head to see what's happening; it's too late
>it's J.P. Morgan
>in one swift deposit the tip of Morgan's shoe slams into my anus
>my mind is going blank as the market bell drowns out the laughs and jeers of the crowd
>the pennies are rolling away from my now limp hands
>lost my virginity and divvies on the same day
>S&P 500 went up 0.54% that day
>can still hear the soft laughs and the clicking heels of the female brokers as they stepped around my limp body
the weekend would be a nice opportunity to announce that they actually did fire powell

Seems like foreign companies/importers are slashing prices a little to reduce tariffs/to incentivize US companies to import?
From the Philadelphia Manufacturing Survey:
>Firms Continue to Report Overall Price IncreasesThe prices paid index rose 17 points from 41.4 to 58.8, largely undoing its fall in June (see Chart 2). Almost 61 percent of the firms reported increases in input prices, while 2 percent reported decreases; 31 percent reported no change. The current prices received index increased 5 points to 34.8. Almost 35 percent of the firms reported increases in the prices of their own goods, none reported decreases, and 58 percent reported no change.

Also a couple of you keep shilling SMCI. I think I might be sold on that too. I'll be buying some calls soon
>>60643177Gr8 b8
That was then, this is now. We pragmatists write the pages of history with our actions, you โscholarsโ misinterpret them. Taxing the American consumer with import tariffs is good because, well, it just is. Deal with it.
>>60643203Both SMCI and MU are hilariously over-sold IMO. MU's dumping because it got a neutral outlook from GS even though it's their first time rating them and the target is still almost 10% above its current price. SMCI just seems like short-term panic selling because of their statement about next year, even though everything else still indicates growth.
Leftists hate tariffs because they're done by Trump

Why are so many anons still bearish? Just throw money at anything remotely sensible and come back November for profit. It's just so obvious. Am I crazy?

So VOO is up at least 0.3% per day on average. So if my math is correct, it's safe to assume it will go up at least another 35% this year right? I quit my job a couple months ago to take 2 months off and then find something better, but I have $80k in VOO and another 70k cash. Am I insane for thinking I could have $150k in VOO and just take the rest of the year off and just collect $50k in gains in the coming months as my "salary?"

Kraft Heinz, PayPal, Utz. These are ones I've always been tracking and keep thinking now is a good time to buy in they have to recover eventually but year after year they don't fucking do anything.
It's nearly time.

If managing fiat currencies requires a certain level of competence from institutions and being transparent & non-corrupt, why don't thirdies just adopt a similar system as the gold standard to mitigate similar issues? Serious question, fiat currencies depend almost entirely on the reputation of the ones responsible for regulations and thirdies are notoriously bad at doing that. The US did it during a pivotal moment and it worked out for them, why don't thirdies do the same?
