1. I trust CEOs that dont lie
2. ford stock has been pegged to the 10 dollar range for as long as I can remember
3. ford's bottom line would benefit from abandoning their EV program
4. Chink shit is not coming to the US anytime soon with trump
>>60647682>Ford CEO says Chinese EVs are superior to all American brands.China also just went all-in as well, even promising Tesla market share in China and then promptly using the tech to make Chinese EVs competitive. Musk fell for the classic chink industry IP capture trick.
>>60647862>Chink shit is not coming to the US anytime soon with trumpThere's Chinese Volvo but that hasn't been particularly popular in the US.
TSLA bros, whatโs the play for earnings?
>>60647862>why?most CEOs just drain money from the company for their own pockets, but they need the help of the rest of the C suite so they pay them a lot too. The CEOs negotiate deals the max money in the short term by sacrificing the company and the employees in the long term - they don't give a shit about the company. CEO's comp is $25m while missing goals, what's the average salary of the people making the cars? With a company the size of Ford they have the money to invest in new technology and they have been making shit quality for decades - designed obsolescence, instead of manufacturing reliable cars (mostly drive trains and electronics). Then they go on speaking tours crying about how Chinese have unfair advantages when it was the US that gave US automakers every unfair advantage possible and they just blew the money on CEO perks and stock buybacks.
>>60647874>China and then promptly using the tech to make Chinese EVs competitiveWatch the interview Farley admits they do the same tech stealing with the Chinese cars, they bring them back to the US and reverse engineer everything.
>>60647917I think the issue I find is not that reverse engineering happens; it costs money, equipment and manpower to do so. American companies have this incredibly annoying habit of practically giving away the schematics and expertise for free.
>>60647908>The CEOs negotiate deals the max money in the short term by sacrificing the company and the employees in the long term I agree in general but ford is an exception in my opinion. Their board of directors is dominated by the Ford family, who have a non-financial interest in perpetuating the company. Not tosay ford doesnt have problems brewing but I certainly think they are far from collapse. Strong dividend and stable share price confirm the consensus for now.
>With a company the size of Ford they have the money to invest in new technology and they have been making shit quality for decades - designed obsolescence, instead of manufacturing reliable cars (mostly drive trains and electronics).this isnt exclusive to ford. >>60648186speculative bubbles are forming again it might be a good time to buy some mid caps and small caps.
>>60648186>>60648213I bought KIND the day KIND anon shilled it. But maybe little bit too high now.
>>60648223>imagine buying something gathering for another up move instead of yoloing into something which has been pumping nonstop for daysthis is you
also 8/10 made me reply
>>60648233checked. that was me. added some more calls today. holding 5k shares.
>>60648240What else you got besides nextdoor and archer? I got fudded out of archer after seeing they keep diluting their shares over and over again. I have SMCI, QXO, KIND. Got shaken out of SBSW and AGQ.
>>60648253I've slimmed my holdings down SIGNIFICANTLY and aside from those plays, the other large one has been a huge disappointment, but I'm perpetually early to things.
I bought Hydrofarm because they were a brand for weed farmers. CEO of Hostess (Bill Toler) came out of retirement and worked for them for like 5 years or so. Their IPO was a pretty large pump and dump and it's been flatlining for years due to headwinds from the cannabis industry.
So one thing Toler did during his tenure was cut down on unnecessary SKUs and tried to focus on vertical farming, and the broader grow industry (similar to SMG & Hawthorne).
They started selling these not too long ago: https://growtainers.com which seem to be doing alright.
If you've ever seen Fox Farms Soil in the supermarket or wherever, they own that brand along with many others.
Basically I'm only still holding it due to Toler's pedigree (almost all companies he's been at have been acquired and he has bought [and held] shares multiple times.
It's a relatively low float and when it moves it moves quickly.
I've averaged down throughout the years and they did reverse split not too long ago, and my average is still around $20 (kek). It's at $4 now and seems like it may break $6 soon.
blah blah blah don't be an idiot and buy it like I did.
>>60648253Oh and I lost a bunch of money on shitty ass SHRMF (turned to Braxia Scientific) aka shroom company.
Seems like MNMD and CYBN were the better picks though
>>60648313I went through this with shitcoins in 2017. Lesson learned is I don't touch anything below 1 bil marketcap (and if I get tempted in like with KIND I never buy significant amounts).

>>60644863 (OP)My mom bought BMNR today. I told her not to buy crypto related stocks but she's loading up on COIN, CRCL and now BMNR. What do I tell her?
lol the Trumps are getting dragged in the comments
>>60648376>I told her not to buy crypto related stocksApologize for giving shit investment advice. Why would you guide her away from making money?
>>60648376>What do I tell her?Nothing. Either she manages to secure a nice gain or she eats a gigantic loss. Right now, there is a combination of crypto mania and AI dotcom boom, so anyone who knows how to ride a wave up stands to make money.
>>60648376your mom should really just come here and be with us if she is willing to take investment advice from her sperg son and buys crypto stocks.

>>60648378It's so dumb.
Imagine calling it a Democrat HOAX and the dems didn't abuse it/use it to their benefit while also claiming they are waging lawfare and other stuff.
What the hell was the purpose of it all then? What for did they create/manufacture it?
All it did was give Trump a talking and campaign point, it benefitted him. It was a major part of rightwing-conspiracy theories. And now it was a HOAX by the Dems?

>>60648459ya I'm hearing a deafening silence from the bears. usually they are screeching by now.
already got my stops in, I suggest everyone do the same. hate doing the 15% from current like most the pros preach, instead I just look at the chart, pick a price a few ticks away from the most recent resistance, closer if I don't trust the hoe.
don't wanna crap in everyone's wheaties, but methinks a storm be brewin, maybe not today or this year, but the more it brews, the worse it be.

between quantum and this he's gotta be researching on how to tie different kinds of knots at this point
>>60648678>20k to investIs this long-term or short-term?
Long-term minimal risk is all in $SPY. Higher risk short-term is more like $TMF or $FXI ($YINN), right now.
Just stick with $SPY, though. You'll do well.
>>60648698My opinion is that the top is 2026 (perhaps Feb-Apr) in accordance with Benner Cycles. Enjoy the bull run

Can you believe people are still suggesting to have bonds in your portfolio?
>>60645681I have bought those stocks (all of them except HOOD) a few days ago, now the question is - WHEN DO I SELL? when is the peak?
>>60649038I don't have an answer to that, but I just want to say that I really hate these fucking finance youtubers who make these idiotic motivational videos claiming that "investing your first 100k is the hard part, after that it gets really easy due to compounding interest!". It's a complete and total lie. Investing your first 100k is a thousand times easier than getting from 100k to 500k, let alone breaking 1 mil.
