>>60650420 (OP)Brave (maybe) has 90 million users, but it's becoming absolutely clear that NOBODY is opting into ads. So far, in 2025, Brave has purchased 488,000 BAT. The average price of BAT during this time was around $0.15. This means that in nearly 7 months, they've purchased only $73,200 worth of BAT, or about $12,000 a month which is absolute peanuts.
If we assume that somebody that is opted into Brave Rewards earns a measly $1 a month from viewing ads, that means that out of 90,000,000 active users only 12,000 people are opted into ads. That is an opt in rate of 0.01333%.
If the average person earns more than $1 the opt-in rate numbers get even worse, and if the average person earns less than $1 a month then why would anyone turn on ads if you get literal pennies per month? No matter which way you spin it, the situation is absolutely grim for BAT. I am fudding my own (small) bags here, and all of this is not to say it can't pump, fundamentals are not required for it to pump, but the 90m active users of the browser are irrelevant if nobody opts in to Brave Rewards, and why would anybody voluntarily watch ads when the rewards are abysmal and you can only withdraw through certain KYC-required exchanges for the measly few bucks you do earn? Their entire business model is broken and Brave has made it very clear that they do not give a fuck about fixing it.
BAT was an easy way to raise funds for Brave without having to give away equity in the company, nothing more, they try to keep up the faรงade for now that they care about it, but their actions show their true nature. Do they integrate BAT into their search engine? no. Do they allow you to pay for their own products with BAT? no. Do they allow you to withdraw the BAT you earn on chain without going through KYC? no. They make big promises, and claim everything is coming soon to placate their bagholders but nothing will ever happen. I know because I used to be one myself. I even listened to their community calls.
