I'll dig out some statistics and graphing software I've been working on. Last I checked Monero had lower volatility than Bitcoin, so risk adjusted returns are probably decent.

i don't mind it being marketed as grey economy money, it's certainly one way of using this tool (monero, a currency, a tool).
but not the only way.
one side effect of a shitty economy is that lots of people are going into side hustling and starting their own businesses, just to have to deal with the government and taxes. these people are ready for understanding that getting paid in monero gives you a way to avoid the all-seeing-eye. it is private after all. can save for a rainy day in monero resting assured no one is coming for it.
