High speed rail is a meme
Hypothetically, what would happen if a bunch of people (not myself) got together and hypothetically raided Wall Street, and dragged all of the people out of their offices (purely hypothetically speaking) and slaughtered them on the streets? I cannot stress how hypothetical this post is. Not financial advice.
>>60662207Alphabet & Tesla reporting same time. Predictions?
Mine: Tesla nears ATH after mentioning Robo Taxi and the Robovan (pronounced: (Re-bล-vin). Google +10% YTD growth in all metrics but share price goes -5%.
>>60662224It would be humorous imo.
XYZ WILL BE ADDED TO THE S&P500 WEDNESDAY - PLS BUY MY BAGS
GOOGL EARNINGS AFTER HOURS WEDNESDAY - First report on subscriptions to AI $250 bundle will prove monetisation in the AI sector for the first time. Waymo ever growing and will report on expansion efforts. Youtube absolutely dominating Netlfix which is dominating Prime HBO Disney, YouTube is also the largest streaming service and second largest search engine. OpenAI now using Google Cloud for Chat GPT. All this with a shitty jeet CEO imagine the potential that can be unlocked from the most profitable company the planet has ever seen.
You will have to explain to your grandchildren why you weren't a Googlei Mooglie when you had the chance to get in under $200 a share.
And XYZ will bloat to a $500 billion monolith under the jarring leadership of our dear autist Jack Dorsey
>>60662224Not hypothetically, very seriously in real life I would side with them
For example Brian Thompson did nothing wrong, the company only made like 5% a year. Seething poors are 100% always wrong which is probably why they are poor
still time for BTOG before alt season starts and DOGE runs up
>>60662216Depends on the nation and geography. Makes no sense for a nation that can just drive everywhere. Makes more sense for nations that are already population dense.
Also, stable population demographics are recommended.
>>60662326No
High speed rail is a meme
You only build high speed over long distances, and by the time you qualify as "long distance" for high speed it is cheaper and faster to fly
I don't own a car
https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/grvy/
>that revenue>that earningswhat the fuck is this shit????
>>60662248XYZ was already in my faves.
>>60662617>implying there aren't people that don't want to fly>implying it's not easier to hop on a train>implying it's not better for the environment
>>60661081Which is why he's alive, kicking, and racing McCaffee in their personal yachts on some tropical island while his "corpse" (Hillary's brother) was the convenient proof of death.
He made it, to a degree few men ever could.
>>60662224all this would achieve is murdering a few middle class working fathers while jews laugh behind 7 proxies
>>60662617Very open minded and sensible take anon
>>60662248>>60662671wait isnt XYZ the one where the CFO got brutally stabbed and slashed to death and culturally enriched in the streets of SF?
>>60662671All aboard the GRVY Train before August 8 Earnings, worth a gamble. Speaking of gambling, get in on Gambling.com GAMB before their earnings next month.
>>60662248currently owning 225 shares at 173$ if i buy now my average will go up and if the earnings are ass im getting bogged not sure if i should buy 25 more
LET'S FUCKING GO BBAI, LET'S GOOOOOOO BBAI!!!!!! FFFFAKKKK
>>60662739CFO's come and go. Cultural enrichment is here to stay.
In all seriousness, San Fran was the worst place I have ever been to in my life and I simply can't wrap my head around tech bros wanting to live there in this day and age. I can see the skeletal ruins of a once beautiful city but its crack Iraq and Fentopia out there. Nowhere else on the planet tolerates such degeneracy to the point that society ignores the gurning dead zombie invasion that has taken place.
LA was a godless smoggy Latino shithole as well, the movies lied to me. Those bastards lied to all of us.
>>60662617Basically correct. There's like a teeny tiny sweet spot of maybe 100-600 miles where highspeed rail sort of makes sense, because the time to get to a usually distant airport to board, take off and land and then taxi to your actual destination adds enough time. But that's also neglecting all of the actual costs and mess of building the lines.
>>60662228tesla will dump at earnings like it always does
I'll just go balls deep into risk.
Sold everything I had and put 50% TQQQ and 50% MSTY.
I need things to go well for the next 6 years or so and then I'm retired on a beach somewhere.
>>60662835you could be stacking schd and spyi if you want to actually retire
>crypto keeps rallying
>i keep taking profits
>i cant sell anymore because of staking
>>60662835I dont really get msty, better to just get mstr
Also I think I'm going to buy some HAS calls for their ER. Maybe $50 the night before just for fun
>>60662942can someone break down why MSTR is a such a good play that they made a degen bull etf for it? is it just an AI wager? but then why not just do MAG7, whats speciay about MSTR. never heard of a singe one of their products. or is it enterprise grade stuff
>>60662202 (OP)In America it would definitely make sense having high speed rai from Boston though new York, philly, Baltimore and DC. Why haven't they done that, are they stupid? Also funny that off all places in America there's so much high speed rail around Philadelphia kek
>>60662910how do people still shill SCHD?? its literally shit and doesnt perform well
>>60662964They use investor capital to buy bitcoin, that's it they have no products or services. One hundred birrion dorrar
>>60662964They have the largest bitcoin treasury by a good margin
>>60663008They do have a real business besides the bitcoin, iirc its like data analytics software for enterprise but their margins were basically stagnant for a good while
>>60662910I don't want to wait a long time to retire though. I wanna retire in 5 years.
>>60662942My strategy with MSTY is to use the NAV erosion to offset any profit I have from TQQQ. That way I get the upside from the income MSTY provides and then when it's time to sell both positions and put the money into something less risky I can pay almost no tax.
>>60662964MSTR is just a bet on bitcoin and a bet against fiat. They use a lot of debt to buy more bitcoin.
>>60662986>ter of 0.06%>contains a wide variety of big companiesit's just a different flavor of sp500
why wouldnt you buy it?
I hold ACHR. Should I sell?
>>60663142>I hold ACHR. Should I sell? Why? What is your concern?
EVTOL is taking off, or at least the EVTOL stocks are running. JOBY is the leader right now but ACHR is likely to run as well. Look at the price history for both JOBY and ACHR they are very similar. No one knows for certain, I think ACHR price will run this month. If you have significant gains nothing wrong with trimmng to lock in some gains. These two companies are still early and burning cash, their stock prices are volatile, expect pumps and pull backs, its just the way this works with companies at this stage.
man those early pltr baggies must be doing good these days
>>60663210>must be doing good these daysyes, yes we are.
The play: hoping TSLA earnings are dog shit, and elon tweeting some stupid shit, then buying TSLL at single digits
>>60660967no news, there is a news blackout period right now due to the private placement, there is nothing to do but wait for the company to execute
q3 is coming up and will prob be bad since it's before the growth inflection will reflect on revenues, but we also have a private placement (completing right before q3 too) that just bought almost roughly 8% of the company at $1.20 when it was just 40 cents a few months ago. and presumably they expect to see ai dashcams go up higher than $2 in a year, otherwise they'd just buy a largecap for safer slower gains.
the company has not had to dilute just to survive, shares outstanding staying roughly 90m the past 5 years, no debt, $16m working capital with cash and financing options, the only reason theyd need an additional $10m+ is if they're trying to fulfill another big contract at the same time
all i can do is wait as the fra mandate deadline of 2027. theres also a canadian mandate on schoolbuses but thats like a 2036 deadline, the company will prob be bought out long before that time. Along the way, again bout Q3, i will be maintaining my position and just hope that $1.20 really is the new floor with the new institution buying in. I am in stage iv of my plans, this feels like when gme pre-split was at $15 to me right now, i cant predict (and completely missed out actually) $400 reasonably, but at the very least $20 and even $40 is in sight
I'll be trimming long before the CAD$3 or $4 target on ai dashcams but even that is premature, that is simply the point (300 to 400 million market cap) where ai dashcams becomes a boring 20-30% CAGR growth and is no longer criminally undervalued.
comparables are already at 400m market cap with similar revenues or growth, it simply hasnt had a serious chance in attracting institutional interest yet because <$50 million market cap was too hard for anyone to enter (plus management also dont want to do financing at such a low valuation, only seeing it now above 120m market cap)
>>60663203thanks, anon. what's your long term price target on this then? I have some JOBY that I sold already but not a ton.
>>60662202 (OP)Goddddd why did I just not get altscwtf is this genius act i could have made like 2k easily on doge coin dude is it doing 70 cents again or what I keep thinking it will dip but it never does now 27 cents I could turn my paltry 5k to 12.5 which is five figure club coinbase 1000
I hate how everything wants my pathetic 5k to become 0 I want to buy COIN 600 c Jan 26 but it will go to 0 dude im so late on this
Whatever you guys do do NOT set price gain alerts on crypto on Robinhood it will mindbreak you.
>buy SCHD
>put all the dividends into SPXL
>gets the consistent income of the former with the gigantic growth of the latter
is this the epitome of genius or what?
I'm just not gonna sell at ATHs ughhh sorry but I just won't ughhh
>>60663347>what's your long term price target on this then?I do not bother with price targets. I just watch the company and the market they try to serve. I watch the price history to see if the price is increasing steadily or "mooning" too fast. If the price spikes I trim to lock in gains because it will likely fall for a consolidation for a while. If it looks good I stick with it until I find a stock that I think shows more potential then I sell some or all and invest in something else. Both are currently behind their early promises for unit production and profitability, but all companies lie.
>>60663415GOOGL is $20 a share below its ATH despite being a larger company that makes more money than it was in Feb and has earnings Wednesday. Get in on this r kid.
>>60663416refreshing reply. thanks anon.

How were the Netflix numbers, BTW?
>>60663528Met expectations but market wanted expectations to be smashed.
Also evidenced that they are ceding territory to YouTube while comfortably dominating Disney & Prime & HBO & all the other irrelevant streaming services like FUBO etc
I see a future where YouTube has exclusivity to stream all the top European football leagues for free but with NFL style adverts unless you have premium where you are still subject to halftime adverts.
>>60663511Value investors club is a decent forum, wallstreetbets subreddit occasionally has decent research, I also use dataroma to check the portfolios of good investors to find companies to research.
What is the sentiment around NVTS here?
Just heard they're a major supplier of semiconductors for Nvidia, but their stock is only around $7 each.
Meme or just undervalued?
I've downloaded 13 years of daily SPY options data for free at optionsdx.com, and I'm trying to parse it now.
Can someone explain what a Call option size is? It's in the format 1209 x 699, does it mean that the bid size was 1209 and the ask volume was 699?

>>60664017It's not about trains, and it's just really funny. He made the last thread and this one directly at bump limit because he was offended and couldn't tell someone was circlejerking in support of him.
>>60663979Yes it should pump more on Wednesday, might drop on opening with profit taking. Long term very bullish especially if Square capitalises on Bitcoin mania and accepts it over POS becoming the first to mass adopt BTC payment systems.
Otherwise it should go on a run, XYZ & PYPL to both hit their 2021 highs.
This whole thing feels very 2021 now I think about it, meme coins & alts about to go parabolic. My only wonder is not how high this will go but what the new floor is when the bubble pops/corrects now that nations have strategic reserves and institutions hold a good chunk.
MSTR inevitable collapse will be interesting to watch when it finally happens.

>>60664032Healthcare as a sector will continue to eat shit until the midterms(this is where you buy). Then it will be oversold and value investors will slurp leading to short term overpreformance(this is where you sell)
My reason being is the regean esq deregulation, if you look back to his term the healthcare sector went through this pattern
>>60664032catching falling knifes can be quite lucrative but you havw to differentiate between strong and weak companies
i have no clue about unh but a lot if strong companies did dip hard due to tariffs rather than a weakness in their business itself, so it was a great opportunity to buy because theyre oversold beyond fundamentals so you know they would bounce back even if you dont time the bottom (i.e. market pricing in a bigger impact to their gross margins that what will actually happen)
again i have no clue about unh but i assume you must have bought it with a thesis that their business can bounce back up so all you can do is wait foe unh to execute, or cut your losses and put the money somewhere you believe will be more productive than unh

Google needs something more than steady earnings growth, I just don't know where it might come from. Waymo's prospects look dimmer by the day.
What are the chances of a flash crash on August 1st when the tariffs start and the scary letters get sent out?
>>60664256I'm anticipating a movement on the tariff narrative. It might already be priced in, but then again a narrative shift can easily be used as an excuse for a sell off. The casino is unpredictable.
>>60664256>What are the chancesalways a chance, but I think with Taco the threats are wearing off, most are ignoring what he was because he always changes his mind. Set a buy price for the stock you are interested in, it dips momentarily you get your order. It could be only some stocks dip, expect big players to try and bounce certain stocks for quick money. With all the Taco talk I am not even going to bother this time.

revenue and earnings has been consistent in UNH, which means that unless this quarter truly surprises negatively, the stock is still right on track
>>60664448Thatโs it. I just double downed. Iโm officially all in.
>>60664070>a lot if strong companies did dip hard due to tariffs rather than a weakness in their business itselfUNH isn't dipping because of the tariffs. It's down for two reasons:
>trump is cutting medicare and govt subsidies, crushing the profit margin>it turns out they were cheating on their billing from the getgo, defrauding both the govt for added revenue and investors for added capitalThe bear thesis is that this company only got as big as it did because of foul play, and now they have to play fair in a much less profitable environment, meaning there's no guarantee of recovery.
>>60664032The bull thesis (I'm long at $301 btw):
UNH is as big as Coca-Cola, Chevron, IBM, etc. It has contractual relationships with tons of employers and is an important partner for the government as well. Companies like that don't magically lose half their value on bad news during a bull market. All those employees, clientele, and lobbying relationships still exist. Long-term we'll probably crab around $350 until Trump leaves office then return to $600.
Sell lots of calls on this stock and look at it as a discount on future port growth. I don't think these sub-300 prices are going to last past next week's ER.
i went all in on AMD at $110. +2,000 shares.
$UNH will be fine sisters. the most a large cap stock can typically go down is like 70% which it's already at. $TQQQ or a mag 7 stock is better investment anyways.

>OSCR below $15
>GOOGL below $200
>UNH below $300
>XYZ below $100
>METC below $50

>Went on the wsb baggie train and bought 3k in OPEN options>Holding RCAT and AVGOI just don't know any other short-mid term plays aside from DCAing into the usual suspects. Mag7 seems too overvalued at the time now to warrant buying earnings gamble options. Too much risk of IV crush.

>>60663900Vegas has gotten too expensive. A lot of people have been going to Vegas for more than gambling. There is a lot to see and do in the area now besides gamble. The costs have risen way way higher than they should be to visit Vegas. That Vegas was cheap to vacation there was a huge draw until the past few decades. Now it's cheaper to go elsewhere to gamble and party. There are quite a few gambling destinations competing with Vegas now.
As to online gambling, sure it has likely had an effect on in person gambling. But not nearly as much as Vegas table minimums have. These days Vegas would rather have less tables open with higher minimums. It literally stops people from gambling. Table minimums are now $10+ on the strip. Many are $25. Also there are no comps anymore for the average joe. No free shows. No free dinners. No free rooms. The few comps that are available are for high rollers dropping tens of thousands in the high roller rooms.
Vegas is a rip off all around for tourists and gamblers.
So is the market right now like Rock Lee with his weights on?
>tariff bullshit (that is admittedly a nothing taco)
>geopolitical uncertainty
>"high" interest rates
Two of these could be worked-out by the end of this year. And then it'll be like Rock Lee taking off his weights, right????

How confident are we on BBAI? Can it hit over $9 in the next 2 weeks or is it gonna crash again? How low can it go?
>>60664745>it always was, thoughWrong. If this is what you think it's because you're a zoomer that never knew Vegas before it became a rip off. It used to be going to, staying in and dining in Vegas was affordable to draw people in to gamble. Rooms were cheap. Dinning was cheap. Shows were cheap. Lots of lounge act entertainment was free even. Table minimums were low. Slots and vidoe poker had better odds too. Comps were handed out like candy on the casino floors not just the high roller rooms. All of that is gone now. Everything is a rip off. Hotel rooms that don't smell like piss were $20. Now they are $200. Dinner that was $10 is now $50. Fucking buffers are mostly gone these days. Ceasers buffet is $100 a head ffs. Shows used to be free to $25. Now they are $100-$200. Table minimums used to be $1-$5. Now they are $15-$25. Two nights in Vegas for one person used to $100 plus gambling. Two nights in Vegas is now several hundred bucks a person plus gambling. Look into the past. Start a thread on TripAdvisor. Anyone that's been going to Vegas for a while will corroborate everything I've noted. Also I'm not talking about the 1960s vs today. I'm talking the 2000s vs today. Vegas isn't the same anymore. It's topped out it's prices and visitors are going elsewhere. Simple as.

>>60664973Another reason why you build high speed rail is that is massively increases the property values at all the stops which helps to spread prosperity. Airports meanwhile generally will decrease the property value at its terminals and is very inefficient at low capacity routes.
>>60665081>which helps to spread prosperity.Insiders buy up the land first, and the location of the stops are determined based on politics (developer $ contributions). The key point you are missing WRT California's 'high speed rail' is that it was always a scam, never to be completed, at least not for 10x less than the original inflated budget.
