This idea is so retarded. The reason cars are dominant is because even for single childless people an absolutely shite car is by far the most luxurious and convenient way to get around. Obviously once you have a partner and kids the car becomes even more dominant.

Bicyles will never take off because average person is just way too lazy. Mopeds won't take off cause average person too safety conscious. Walking won't take off because it means you have to live in an apartment. Public transport is just awful end of.

Self driving cars are clearly the future not just cause they are like the car but better but because you could easily buy/rent and then share them, either over your whole family so you just need 1 car, over a shared house or just hiring as and when through uber. This will actually take off simply cause it will be cheaper and more convenient.

Also in literally every country rich people use cars outside of massive cities like London and NYC and even inside these lots will use them either private owned or uber.

Isn't it crazy how every developed country with good public transport just imported so many insane brown people that you couldn't ride it any more.
