Is the increase in BRICS-posting a real canary in the coal mine that the US dollar is finally on a collision course for the can kicked down the road....?

...or is this just more resentful 3rd world (and lefty journalist) cope? Is the US just intrinsically blessed, and in turn will continue it's economic dominance?

It seems these articles get posted more and more. I can't help but think it's more one-sided wishful thinking from the resentful. Unironically, the chan is one of the better places to get uncensored autismo analysis.

As long as the US is large and geographically blessed, I see us surviving any hiccups. Maybe this was meant for pol, idk.

All central banks have been loading up on gold aggressively, not just brics. Brics is loading up probably more so secretly and not reporting it, especially china. Central banks know shit before the general public and rarely advertise their knowledge. But the aggressive buying very out of the norm suggests they see something coming that will upset the status quo. At the end of the day, in all of human history, gold has reset nations after an upheaval.

Do you think we have the leadership to survive a major status quo upset? I'm not talking about "owning the libs!" Trump, or "girlboss" Kamala, but do you think the people really running the show like the Fed have it in them to keep our gold reserves high?

If it's in terminal decline, why do so many major manufactures of the future in tech (NVDA, AVGO, etc...) bend the knee to the US? Why do they prioritize us over other geopolitical rivals? Surely the dollar can't be that bad if it backs semis and all of the products of tomorrow.

US has the most gold in the world, and European countries aka our allies are all in the top 15 for deposits. Only ones who aren't our allies are Russia and China (5 and 6 respectively)

I mean technically we have more gold than them

>increase in BRICS-posting a real canary in the coal mine
BRICS couldn't even stop Americans from bombing Iran. they did jackshit in retaliation, most of them started profusely apologizing & groveling.
Weak nations & weak currency.
It will unironically take decades for them to make a dent, that's if the "C" part doesn't collapse from demographic death. "R" is in the middle of a money shredding war, the rest of the letters are irrelevant because they can and will drop out when china starts fucking up with their number fluffing and market manipulation, as usual. I'm not saying BRICS couldn't become a real problem for USD, I'm just saying it cannot hold steady enough & long enough to become one.

People can hate the dollar all they want, but the 'replacement' is absolutely dog shit. When you should worry is if western nations start to join.

The wealthy have assets and debt from buying those assets. A cheaper dollar makes those assets more valuable while shrinking their debts. Your question is a rephrasing of "Why is Bessent pumping the stock market beyond all reason [through inflationary measures]?" Because dollars are a tool to acquire real assets, not assets in and of themselves.

I mean I want the United States to fail, but it's not going to come from fucking China or Russia

We already exists in a parallel tier economy, all the good goys trade amongst each other
The only thing that can stop actual dollar dominance is if physical goods stop being traded from China

And as much as Xi talks shit, he does absolutely nothing to curb trade with the United States

but government itself also has debt, mostly owed to wealthy.
citizens pay big taxes just to service it. why is shrinking this debt not a good thing?
