this screenshot skips the key fact that this is for payments within Russia. If you're doing something like paying for an overseas service it's fine even the government does that.

The problem is this: If some superpowers don't buy into crypto, the USA can not make it its legal tender as $Trump plans to do, that would paint a digital bullseye on their asses. Very different from localized banking hacks where one can easily do rollbacks. Crypto adoption happens globally or it doesn't. At least dog-eating Chyna, drunken Russia and the Satanist EU have to buy in, or it's not going to happen. India does whatever America tells them to do anyways.

Russia will just start confiscating crypto from random holders, claiming they didnt declare their purchases. Doesnt matter if the person bought anything or not, Russia needs money.
