Brethren, I am thinking of cashing out a bit and buying or setting up a laundrette business.
Anyone have any exposure to this?
Thoughts?

Don't do this because all your customers will be poor and hate you. Instead you should buy a fast-food franchise.

Go on...
The reason i like the Laundrette idea is its semi-passive, and i can keep doing my consulting work at the same time.
I also thought i could use a back area as an office for that.

Oh, damn. If you don't want to work, then fast food might not be for you. However, laundromat customers suck and are depressing to deal with, so you shouldn't do that either. In addition, you will have to hire some employees, and I doubt you would want the headache of managing sickly minimum wage workers.

Why wouldn't you instead invest your earnings into an annuity, or decide to actively run a new business in earnest? Even if it is more work, if you start an establishment like a bar, or use your money to release a series of NFTs, it might be the better move.

So bars have a much higher failure rate here in britbong land (pls no bully.)
I have been stalking a few laundromats and there are rarely any employees present, plus they are now card operated so less cash to worry about.

Go with the laundromat then, but be aware that your country will collapse soon, so you might as well just pack up now and move to Switzerland.

What are the risks in establishing a laundrette and do they outweigh the benefits?
